AH...but Naruto is not being punished for returning Sasuke. How far into the fic did you read? He's being punished for what he is, because of the fears of the council and the people of the village. A very powerful group wants Naruto for unknown reasons and that scares them...and Naruto can't stop them from taking him. I thought I explained all this at the end of part 2...but maybe I need to be more detailed. As for the others, the come in later. It's only the second part after all and it needs to focus on the people who are doing the running for now. Also, because they are secondary characters, their personalities are not very well formed. Kurenai seems like a mindless hot head the first time she gets into a major fight. Asuma seems pretty useless. I'm working on getting a better grasp of them before writing. There are quite a few flamers around who throw fits like babies if you don't get the characters the way they want (regardless of canon or any other facts) and right now, I have some serious medical stuff I'm going through and don't need the hassle. Asuma does show up around part 4 though and Kurenai around part 7....or earlier if I can make the chapters longer. Sorry if I mispelled names, on a scale of 1 to 10 of pain...I'm in a 15 right now.

I really like this story, hope you write more. As for Shino pairings people tend to pair him with Kiba because they're in the same team.

Uhm..Jiraiya x Iruka...why not, they both care for Naruto.

Lately, there have been fewer and fewer fics worth my time to comment, but this one is just amazing! I admit, some dialogue could use some work, but I really enjoyed Jiraiya's fiery attitude that is found in the manga itself, the portrayal of Neji as the child he really is, and the intricate plot that is about to show itself. Just the beginning shocked me; I am quivering with excitement to know what else you have in store for this fic! I hope to read more soon~!

A really great chapter. I never thought of Shika as an addition and the whole 'plot' ws interesting. Well thought out and written.
