Just started reading this story, wow, just wow. o.o;
The characterisation is amazing, the detail is really good, and the chapters are always enjoyable.
I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens with Neji, hope he's going to be okay!

I haven't reviewed since I first stumbled upon this story, but don't think it's because I've stopped loving it. I find it utterly impossible to actually get a feel for a story if I'm only reviewing a small portion of it. So, sorry about the delay. Now, with that stated, I just hope this review doesn't turn into a rant like my first one, but if it does, well...
I'm just in awe of chapter 20. Not only have you managed to single-handedly make me want to cry, scream, and otherwise act like a complete lovestruck fool, I'm floored at how realistically the last scene played out. It absolutely shattered a piece of my heart.
Throughout this chapter, there was that sense of foreboding that just left my stomach twisted in knots. I kept thinking, 'when will it happen? when will it happen?'. I knew SOMETHING was bound to go wrong; I just didn't think that it would end so cruelly. I know most people will be writing something along the lines of 'SASUKE IS SUCH A BITCH! HOW COULD HE TREAT POOR NARUTO LIKE THAT?!', but I happen to think Sasuke's argument held weight. I don't like the way he handled things. Quite frankly, he deserved to get punched (and probably much more). But, is it not true that Naruto has been stringing all three of them along? Out of everything, the fact that Naruto has even allowed the other two to keep interfering has always bugged me. I know in the beginning he wasn't sure of Sasuke's feelings for him, or his own feelings for Sasuke. But once he discovered that he truly was attracted to the Uchiha (and wanted something with HIM and not the others), he should have made it a point to address Gaara and Neji. I do feel for the other men. They each hold very strong feelings for Naruto. That's not something that can be easily overlooked. And I also understand that Naruto doesn't want anyone to come out of this hurt, but he also has to know that it's bound to happen. When there are three people vying for one's affections, obviously two people are going to be let down. So why, oh why, didn't Naruto address this issue long ago?
But...like I've mentioned in my first review, I'm not doing this to rant. I'm just giving you my honest opinion. I will say that I have truly enjoyed the chapters you've produced since you came back from Japan. (Hope you had fun during your stay by the way.) It finally seemed like Naruto and Sasuke might be getting somewhere. They were doing things together. Their teasing and flirting seemed to have been turned up a notched. And oh, my! Naruto actually showed some jealousy! =D All in all, reading their steady (but sloooooow) progression into any semblance of an actual couple has been a complete wild ride, never knowing quite what situation the two will land in next, or how the two will react to their ever-increasing attraction to the other. I think you have showcased their relationship brilliantly, and I really am glad I started reading your story.
But, man, for you to come back and pull something like chapter 20...whoo. That's just harsh, though I will admit that this one is one of my absolute favorite chapters so far. Everything, from Sasuke going into a jealous rage (or rages...there were so many times), to Neji's drunken antics, Naruto "saving" Sasuke, to their first (consentual) heated kiss, it was wonderful. But, alas, I knew there wouldn't be a happy ending. I think my heart actually bled when Naruto told Sasuke to get out of his life. But, his reaction, just like Sasuke's, is understandle. When you feel so strongly about someone, and you're always having to share that person's affections with other people, it's bound to cause problems. For Sasuke, never knowing for sure if Naruto truly cares about him the way he does, always seeing the others hovering around, ruining moments between them, I can completely understand why he finally snapped and let Naruto have it. But then again, to be so utterly betrayed by the person he thought he knew, his best friend...I really don't see how Naruto and Sasuke will be able to repair their damaged relationship now. I know Sasuke was ultimately in the wrong for what he said, but I just don't want him to turn into some grovelling fool, always apologizing, always asking for forgiveness. He NEEDS to apologize, to do whatever it takes for Naruto and him to get back on steady ground. But I also think that Naruto needs to come to understand that he can't just decide he's attracted to Sasuke and let that be it. If he wants Sasuke in his life (as more than just a friend), he's going to have to solve the situation regarding the other two men. He needs to tell Sasuke what he wants from him, and not just flirt endlessly. Though, I will admit, I really did get pissed when Naruto was trying to talk to Sasuke and the Uchiha just blew up. Tsk, tsk. That situation could have been avoided, huh evil authoress? But, Sasuke needs to be able to open up to Naruto more. Being able to kiss someone doesn't mean anything. (Though, I did have an extremely fan girl moment when they finally kissed.) I just wish he'd tell him he loves him and get it over with. Damn...
Well, I'm annoying, eh? I thought this wouldn't turn out so long like the first time, but I guess it did. If it put you to sleep, my apologies.
I am so excited for the next chapter (whenever that may be)!

By the way, do you know how much longer this story will be? And also, I know I've asked you this before, but I'm still curious as to Sasuke's background. You mentioned before that Sasuke's parents are dead, because he won't use the insurance money (I think that's right), but I'm just wondering how that happened, and does Naruto know?

Awsome!!! I really felt for Naruto at the end, but you know Sasuke did have a point. Naruto has been stringing the three of them along. Anyway I hope you update again soon, and I hope that there's lot's of steamy Naru/Sasu make-up sex. he he ;)
