After seaching for a really good Naruto/Sasuke story (which doesn't happen all too often--at least not any well-written ones) I was pleasantly surprised to happen upon yours. It's funny, amusing, endearing, hot, and would you know? It actually has a plot! Imagine that! I know I'm late to jump on the "Chasing Naruto" band wagon, but there's just something about your story that draws people to it. Even the smut-hounds out there love this story (even though, as of yet, there hasn't even been one kiss). I'm saddened, though, to learn that you won't be updating until you come back from Japan. So, on that issue, I hope you have a wonderful time.

Now back to your story. I'm really excited to see where you'll be taking the relationship between Naruto and Sasuke. (By the way, out of curiosity, do you already know how long this story will be, or are you writing as it comes to you?) But, while I do find this story extremely entertaining and very nicely written, there is just something that confuses me. I just don't understand Naruto. He's unsure of how Sasuke feels about him, so when the opportunity arose for something to happen between them, he pulled away. Fine. I can get that. But what really bugs me is in the last chapter (14) when Gaara basically tries jumping Naruto, and Naruto was letting him. Sure he was resisting, but he wasn't really putting up much of a fight. And if Sasuke hadn't barrelled in, who knows how far it would have gone?

So even if Naruto had decided to not pursue anything with Sasuke, he still has feelings for him, and he's still aware that Sasuke has (some sort of) feelings for him. Then why was it OK for him to (almost) give in to Gaara, but push Sasuke away? His resolve around Sasuke is firm (but slowly cracking), but when Gaara steps in, he was willing to make out with him. Honestly, was he thinking about how Gaara felt about him at that moment? I don't suppose he was.

I understand that things between Naruto and Sasuke are a little bit complicated. Naruto, if he ever lets himself give in, doesn't want to be some cheap, meaningless fling to Sasuke. That's understandable. But still! I can't help siding with Sasuke in his frustration. I just wish something would happen to allow Naruto to open up to Sasuke. Of course, getting Sasuke to admit how he feels about the blonde is going to be equally as hard. Instead of Sasuke always getting pissy when Neji or Gaara show up and Naruto acting unconcerned, I wish Naruto would start actively pursuing Sasuke--instead of just teasing. It's so easy to see that Naruto has a huge effect on the Uchiha, but what about Naruto? I mean, look at the reason he was sick! He won't even allow himself to indulge...he has to push his desires away. Why is that? Can't he just loosen his guard a little bit and see where it leads?

But I'm ranting. I don't mean to sound like I'm flaming your story. In fact, the reason why I'm writing is because I like your story so much. Any story that can get me this fired up, I'd continue reading. I'm anxious to see how you further develop the burgeoning relationship between those two (instead of just throwing them in bed together). So, yes, I love this story. I don't mean to seem like I'm coming down hard on it, but I had to vent a little. Hope you don't mind. Write away while you're in Japan, and I'll be looking forward to reading more fabulous chapters.

(Also, I like how there's competition to stop Sasuke from getting Naruto. But will there be anything to stop Naruto from getting Sasuke (other than his own conflicting emotions)? Like say, a psycho family member or a jealous ex-lover? Will you be writing more on Sasuke's background?)

that your note from chapter 10.sasuke has reason's to be like that.he would to be like him if one of my older brother went crazy killed everyone but me and left me to get stronger then kill him.but anyway's the story is really nice i am on the last chapter.and it look's good so far keep up the good work

Well I for one am relieved,however I must say I am a little sad on Gaara ,heck ,and Nejis' behalf,they make a good rebound pairing!Gaara is sooo intense.Sigh.Naruto has all the luck in these fan fics,wait there are some hard core S/M ones where he gets dissected so maybe not so lucky all the time.All this tension, jeez.Anyway Naruto is old enough to know that you are never going to be in love with most of the people you have a physical reaction to,you can hate someone and there can still be a buzz.There would be alot more happiness if people knew and believed that.

Chapter 14 was just really awesome. You can really write good fics. You're very creative, descriptive and you don't rush your work. I really enjoy reading it. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see how things turn out in the next chapter. Enjoy your trip and be safe. ^_^

But OMGGGG, the scene with Gaara and Naruto shocked me and almost made me faint. What was worser though was SASUKE appeared!!

August?!?! Noooo! Ah well, I'll just have to wait for the next chapter. Now, before you mentioned emailing those of us who wanted to know when the next chapter was coming out. Is that feature still avaliable or has the offer expired?

Must admit that my eyes are crossing a bit from twelve hours of non-stop reading. And fourteen chapters later, I'm dying for more but looks like my anticipation will have to hold out until August. While the characters sporadically show some OOC-ness, that's to be expected in an AU story. Nothing drastic that detracts from the overall goodness, though. After all, I did just spend hours indulging myself, right? Do continue and add me to the notification list while you're at it.

Chapter 13 is just so awesome. I really like your writing style. You are very detailed. Your fic is funny and serious at the same time. I really enjoy reading it and how your explore the characters emotions and personalities and all the situations you put them in. Keep up the great work. ^_^
