Oh the drama. Poor Naruto..

And Sasuke..I don't get him at all. I mean, it's like he doesn't care, but he does? And then he's all grossed out about it..But it's not like it's naruto's fault. I'm getting frustrated ~_~;; lol

I'm in law school, though my focus is on crimes against women, forced sodomy is also rape. The legal definiation of rape is any form of sexual act, including engaging in sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio, anallingus or anal intercourse, object penetration, accomplished against the will through: force, present threat of force or intimidation of or against the accuser or another person. Mandatory minimum sentance is 5 years. This is regardless of age. Also, proof of resistance is not required.
The trouble with rape cases is that they are hard to prove, though in your case, there is obvious evidence of threat and intimidation. Any good lawyer would charge the perps with statutory rape, (if the child is between the ages of 13-15 this is a class 4 felony, regardlesss of consent) rape, forced sodomy, sexual battery, assult, indecent liberties with children, indecent liberties by children, forced object penetration, creation of child pornogrpahy, and creation of llicit pornography, (ie brutal s&m or slash) giving the perps a minimum sentance of 20-30 years plus hella fines.
Even if the sex was consentual, they could charge the perps with the indecent liberties charges, statutory rape, and contributing to the deliquency of a minor. In addition, age of concent laws only cover partners who are less than three years older.
The victim is not required to testify, and there is precedence for cases that win without this testimony, but it helps. Also, the victim can refuse a rape kit. Money means a lot, big business lawyers could try to crack into this, but this case would be easy to press with or without the victim's statement, but like I said, the statement helps. If I were defending the perps in this instance, I would go for a hung jury, or try to plea them guilty to lesser charges to be served simultaneously. In jury selection, I would choose a bunch of rich old white people, who believe that the victim wanted it. (by law, it doesn't matter if he wanted it or not, but the jury is not made up of law experts)

I think that covers about all the bases, but it is fiction, so there's no need to change what you've got. I suppose this is for future reference more than anything.

Ok,no more laws but I have to say beating your spouse in Canada does not require the wife to lay charges,the crown does(government),if you have a fist fight between two sposes they charge both!You can not,.........man,Americans probably can sexually assult each other,fuck kids and beat their wives/husbands freely.....they don't have real elections anymore so why not?It doesn't f'n float in Canada however!

Sorry about the legal stuff but I do not want kids and women believing they have no f'n rights ,damn it.There are too many places where they are not concidered to be even citizens let alone have rights.......slavery is a fucking sick,sick concept.All of the behaviours mentioned are illegle in the eyes of the World Court. Well actually thats not quite true! When a wife refuses to give a statement against her husband it is not that she is consenting to be beaten, but that the evidence burden is on the district attourney and cases like that are almoste impoible to prove. If for example, there where witnesses to the beating who reported it, the husband would be prosicuted weather the wife pressed charges or not. You are right that in some very special cases, violence can be alowed (professiona boxing for example) S&M is an whole other story, because eaven if there is pain involved, it's not sk "lasting" You won't find any S&M clubs where they for example break eachoters bones or so on, because that wouldn't be legal. The same thing can be said about the two friends that fought, it's NOT legal to berake someones nose....but who will ever find out about it if one of them didn't press charges, if a cop saw it and there was a videotape of the event it would go to trial.
And that is what I have hard time svallowing about this story...if there is taped evidences of a 16 year old being forced to consent to rape and abused so much that he got internal bleeding, there is no fucking way they wouldn't prosecute and I would say it's a 99% chanse they would win. Sure, the legalsystem sucks....it doesn't suck THAT much!!

This is a great story. Please update as soon as possible. I loved that info you included in your latest chapter. I had been studying carnal knowledge and its laws (which include rape unlawful carnal knowledge with a minor etc) and I was happy to read a fic that used real laws to make their story more realistic. I love your Sasuke and Naruto, their characteristics are real fresh, compared to other fics where there are just lemons. But what has really got my interest is your Hinata comments. This is because out of all the girls in Naruto, I would pick Hinata as the only one Sasuke would like. The part about him being interested since he doesn't hit on him was genius ^_^ Ok well I am babbling now, so I will leave. Thank you for this beautiful and touching fic.

I don't know, I think I took the chapter differently than Cadence. I'm not sure if this is how you meant it to be, but I assumed that most of the chapter was written from Sasuke's perspective. So basically the perspective of a teenage boy and having been around a lot of them that's how they talk. Actually they usually go a bit more vulgar than that but that might just be for effect. I can see a teenage boy talking to himself like this and it seems fine to me. But maybe that's just me and I interpreted it wrong. Even with all the laws I still can't see the law allowing a person to be beaten into consent, though truthfully I didn't read through all of the laws completely. I just skimmed. Now this has made me really curious and I'm tempted to find a lawyer to ask this question. Cause if this is true then that law seriously SERIOUSLY needs to be changed cause it's ridiculous. So Sasuke finally figured out what happened to Naruto, I can see why he wouldn't have figured it out sooner. He might be intelligent but he seems very self absorbed and it seems like it would take something shoving it in his face for him to get it. And that's pretty much what happened. I kinda wish more had happened in the chapter, but it's probably good that you didn't put more because then it probably would have seemed rushed. So I guess the solution to that would be to make the chapters longer:D I liked this new chapter, though I'd like to see what's going on with the people who attacked Naruto. I'm kinda curious what they're doing now and if they have further plans for Naruto or if they're going to leave him alone now. And with Sasuke talking about his brother, he seems too nice to do something bad like that to Naruto but you never know. He seemed nice in the series then he went crazy and killed his family. I would love to see Sasuke's family take Naruto in instead of him going back to the orphanage, though I don't see that happening since they seem like they barely want the kid that they do have. But I guess I'll just have to wait and see where the story ends up. It has so many directions that it can go in and it really makes me wonder where you're going to take it. Great job and update soon, can't wait:)

Not to be mean, but your story is going down hill. Seriously. I liked it at first, but you need to get your act together because this chapter wasn't good. I think it might have been the amount of times you said dick and butt. It was gross and unnecessary. I'm not sure I'll read any more chapters, but if I do, I hope they are better than this one.

How is it possible that sasuke still haven't figured out that Naruto was raped?! He's not dense! Come on...
Beside that, that's a good chapter, giving the feeling of silence before the storm.
