I typically do not read Iruka/Kakashi fics on the basis that, as far as canon goes they have next to nothing in common. However, this fic came most highly recommended, and once I started I was sucked into the whole thing. Having it start at the beginning of the relationship and essentially creating a deus ex machina reason for Iruka to get to know Kakashi allowed you to have time to explore the possibilities of the pairing, and the end result was a very entertaining read. My favorite parts: the entire hostage-taking episode, the camping, the fact that Genma has been throwing things at Iruka's head for years... and basically everything where the other jounin ninjas had a cameo or scene.

*Sniff* It's sad, cause it's over. I love this story, cause there is an actual plot to it. I've read other Ka/Ir stories where it's just "Jump in bed" kind of story.
Kudos on writing such a wonderful story, I love it.

lol! I love how Kakashi is in this fic!! I love that he gets paranoid & his neurotic is so funny!! I'd love to read more about his being neurotic about other things. Like clothes. What's up with that? Does he own any other that his nin outfit?? Maybe Iruka need to take him shopping. Oh and write more sweet scene like 'oh, I'm sorry it hurt, let me kiss it better' those are great too!

Wow. Can I just say that again? Wow. That was one of the BEST lemons I have ever read! I alwasy appreciate it when authors go for realistic over romantic, because at a certain point my brain always ends up saying, "aw, come on, that would NEVER happen like that." But you handled virgin-Iruka perfectly! He was nervous and unsure and seriously weirded-out by it, which is certainly true of first times. Kakash was worried about hurting him, which makes sense, and Iruka was curious and wanted to have sex but thought that it was a really odd feeling. I thought the entire thing went great, including the wasy Iruka really pushed Kakashi about the mask, and how he reacted, both good and bad! It was great! Oh my god, write something else, like, now! I thought it was a really good ending to the series too. It really tied it all up. And a lot of authors have problems tying off their plot ends, but you did it so good. WRITE MORE!!!!!

Ah, wonderful, wonderful ending. (I read it on your LJ, actually). The smut was realistic--as realistic as I've ever seen it done...tactfully. And man, if it wasn't hot, hot, hot!! Holy damn, it was...totally something. Loved it all. Now, if only I had something more to say besides: I've given you your props to the max with the raising of the roof and hollering about how you've got mad skillz!! ^^ Holla back, son! You held it down! Hehe. Will be checking out more of your stuff soon. Ta.

Haha, cute. You have a great way with words and I liked how the characters were portrayed. And omg Ino and Sakura saw Kakashi.... naked? LOL, hilarious. Well, technically, he wasn't ENTIRELY nude but... hell, screw technicalities. So yeah, I really liked your story. -grins- Thank ya for writing. -grins wider- You're the best.

This was very well written, I am sad to see it end, but it is good to stop before it gets tedious and dull. May we please have an epilogue, just to see how they are doing in a few months or a year?
