Oh my, there's a lot of discussion going on. I like the way you did Lee's mental process while he's still a little loopy from being out for so long. Very nice. Having the three Leaf Jounin talking to Lee while trying to get information out of him and at the same time make sure he's okay was interesting...I definitely liked that.

Practicing what he called Gaara was incredibly cute/sappy/lovely, and the little paragraph about his self-imposed rule now that Gaara was his most precious person was delightful ans sweet.

You do such great work, and I wouldn't mind it if this story was on par with "The Arrangement", your Gundam Wing fic, which I'm in the process of reading. I'll be reviewing that one too, but as for this story, make it as long as you need to in order to keep up the quality of character development and detail. I love this fic!

I am waiting patiently until next weekend,

May I just say that your story is absolutely, without a doubt, beyond incredible? I am a Lee fan (he's just adorable) and Gaara had my affections after he became less crazy, but the way you are developing their characters and giving insight is nothing short of miraculous! The way you are writing them makes them even cooler than Naruto is :-).

In the anime/manga, Lee is sort of a two dimensional character, all about love and honor and stuff like that. Imagine my surprise when you, with your writing, not only managed to give him a third dimension, but turned him into a person I wish I could meet just so I could shake his hand (and ask him to teach me taijutsu). The way you have Gaara written is also a thing of beauty in and of itself.

I have no more words! I wish I did since you deserve a longer review, but if you could, please consider my speechlessness as a compliment to your style. I look forward to the next update!

Oh wow! I thought this story was unusually well written and then I suddenly recognised your username. You are the one that wrote "Trial and error" aren't you? Because I love that story and was actually thinking of leaving you a rewiev pleading with you too get in to the Naruto fandome! You are absolutely awesome, and this story is awesome too!! I love the way you write both Lee and Garra and neither are easy to write. Especally Gaara, who easily is portraied as either to mean or to angsty...But you pretty much nails them both!!

I hadn't imagined that rock Lee and Gaara might be a good pairing until I came across this story. You're doing a fantastic job so far and I've developed much love for your story. I look forward to the next chapter.

YOu know, I had the most wonderful thing happen. I was happily engrossed in this fabulously paced character development of two of the most truly out there characters in Naruto, when it stopped at the latest chapter, as all great stories eventually do. In my full-on pout stage, I decided to view your main page to see what else you had written. I knew the name Maldoror sounded familiar, but it wasn't until I was reading another Gaara/Lee story in which Lee gets a little "tipsy" that I read your explanation that you usually write GW. Then I said, AHA! and I looked further and found that indeed, you are the author of one of my favorite GW stories, "The Arrangement." Now, I am very much a fan of the pairing of Relena and Heero, but I happily put that in a little box and pat it affectionately into a corner every time I reread "The Arrangement." I'm now reading it yet again, because, well, it's just so damned perfect! I have it saved to my hard drive (not for sharing, just for me) and I happily read all 402 pages of it every few months just for fun.

That said, I am also now totally hooked on "Diplomatic Relations." Before I went looking at your other fics, I was actually thinking, "Hmmm... wouldn't it be funny if Lee accidentally imbibed a little alcohol and Gaara found himself with a chipper, combative and completely horny Lee?" But, seeing as how you've already explored that a little differently than as in intro to physical contact, I guess you might not do it again. Hmmm... I DO wonder what will happen next. One of the, oh, twenty-odd things I love about your writing is that you so casually throw in REAL plot bubbles that begin, grow and burst within each greater arc of a story. And what's more, we not asked to forget the vignettes that developed over chapters past but hold them inside the character development and further plot developments that are to come as mere foundation.

I am so very happy to read your stories. They bring me joy and the occaisional "I don't WANT to go to bed because this is so fun" nights, which just aren't healthy!

May your writing flow sweetly into your computer and thus into mine. I happily await more and more and more.
