Review for Chapter 7: Oh Deities, this was a great chapter! I really liked the dialogue between Lee & Gaara, it was very smooth and sounded like a real conversation two friends would have. The bathing in the oasis part was fabulous, although Lee "hitting a mental wall" when it came to thinking about Neji made me wonder a little bit (in completely inappropriate ways *snicker*). When cleaning himself off in the oasis, Lee sounds like he's Confused with a side order of Deep Denial...which is fitting, considering how hard he's worked at just being friends with Gaara and he doesn't want to think about a friend that way (and completely failing; I really liked the mental thoughts Lee was having, the little mental pictures and observations that his libido was trying to throw at him while his logical mind was trying to sort out why he had an erection...and I'm not even going to talk about the part with Gai in this one, it's just too funny! ^_~).

This is marvelous, and I will wait patiently for the next chapter.

The little bits of Lee/Gaara interaction build a subtle tapestry of mutual respect based on the past they remember and the present in which they reacquaint themselves with each other. Seeing Sunagakure and everything through Lee's eyes is a treat. His, er...irrepressible spirit is a wonder, and is such a regular, normal part of _him_ that it has a normative effect on me.

Gaara...this is a totally believable later-arc Gaara. Granted, I've missed a few of the very latest manga chapters, but extrapolating his character from earlier appearances in the series, this is an older, more responsible, still-more powerful, caring/protective man that still wrestles with his too-real 'demons'

This is really agreat fic please I really want to get to the yaoi part *_* I <3 Gaara and Lee I don't read good fics like yours very often so please update soon!

I love this story, and with each chapter, it just keeps getting better and better. The parts where Lee is always aware of what Gaara is wearing are priceless, because a lot of people forget that under that mask of intense determination and sunny exclamations, there is a boy/young man who is a hard worker and knows a lot more than he usually lets on...and because he is a teenage boy he's going to have some form of libido, but I think a lot of people forget about that as well. Lee IS a ninja, but as stated in chapter 6, nobody ever takes him too seriously, and I think they don't take him seriously as a person most of the time, either. I think the way you write Lee is marvelous, keep it up!

As for this chapter: Gaara as a "rent boy" and Lee as the "daddy"...I get such naughty mental images *perverse snickering ensues*. The fact that Gaara figured it out on his own while Lee tried to just step-and-avoid the whole conversation was hilarious. I loved it. The part at the very end where Temari hugs Lee was sweet, too, along with Gaara's admission that Lee was his friend. That part actually made me smile in the whole "Aaaww, Lee gets to be Gaara's friend!" kind of way.

I cannot wait (but sadly I must) for the next chapter.

Lol. This is one of my favorite chapters. It was so funny. Lol. Gaara being asked for his services, Temari scaring people, Lol. Awww He called Lee a friend.

I really like how the story is going ^_^

This was another awesome chapter. Hehehe, since I was in a hurry, I printed this chapter to read it in the train this morning... Half the wagon thought I was some type of crazy nut when I brust out laughing. I really couldn't help craking up when I read this bit: "Couldn't they recognize a fearsome warrior when they saw one? Maybe it was because he was wearing the poncho...". Oh, my god, it was so funny! And let me tell, laughing comes easily to me except when I am on a sober mood or when I am trying to be discreet, then I am one of the dullest and colder persons you can come across. And today I was in one of those moods, until I read your fic... Hehe, so much for my discretion...

Oh, and that "Leave my friend alone." was just so... so... I don't know, but I was smiling like a dummy. I told you before, but you're developing the LeeGaara relationship wonderfully, just at the right pace, and Gaara admiting out loud that Lee indeed is his friend is a huuuge step forward.

There is so much more I loved in this chapter... But I don't want to bore you, so I'll end the review with a simple: very well done! :)
