Ooo, about to get to the yaoi, huh? Well, I've been looking forward to it, but I can't say that I've gotten impatient. Your story has been too interesting for that. I must say that I absolutely LOVED Gaara calling Lee his friend in this chapter. That comment coming from Gaara could have been very OOC if used at the wrong time, but you placed it perfectly. I really wish that I was awake enough to comment on the other parts of the chapter that I loved, but... I'm not. As always, I'll be looking forward to an update!

Awesome chapter. Poor nutty Gaara. Lol. I've wondered how, or if they'll put Mr.Racoon back in Gaara.

I'm soo glad you updated again, can't wait for next chapter with more humor.
Good build up in this chapter, although isn'tGaara's mother truely with him, and since he was so male treated she keept telling him to kill to get back for treating her son so horribly. no big deal there..though :)

Read your Gai/Kakashi one so I thought i'd check this one out too. I like it! It's nice to see something other than naru/sasu. There aren't very many Lee fics... I like how your slowly revealing Gaara through Lee's eyes, it works. The walking through the sand storm thing had excellant imagery. I could totally picture the scene in my head.

Anywho...I'm really liking how this is going, how the character's personailties are showing through more and more. I cannot wait for the next update! I really enjoyed Gaara shouting and everyone freezing since he NEVER shouts or shows emotion(....well besides creapy emotions...*sweat drop*..). It was really kawaii!

This is good, very good. I wasn't expecting to come across such a well written and wonderful fanfic here, but I did! Hehehe... I love the slow but sure pace that you are using to develop the Lee/Gaara relationship, it wouldn't fit any other way, so well done!
What else can I say... Oh, yeah, when I read that Gaara was feeding the hawks I kind of though: woah, aren't birds supposed to be very sensitive and nervous animals?, shouldn't they be afraid of Gaara? But then you explained that he had patiently gained the bird's "trust" and compared that achivement with his own village... That was beautiful.
And one more thing: you've a wonderful 'narrative voice', by that I mean that I can see in my head everything you descrive, like watching a movie, which means I'm completely hooked to the story. I swear I could see Gaara highlighted by the sunshine and feel the calming atmosphere in the room in that paragraph that began with: 'the raw sunshine pouring through the open windows...'

What does Grye mean? And Omg...I never thought I'd like a fic with Lee. But you keep them both so in character I love them both. And I approve of the pairing. Hehe. I really hope to see more soon. Which is why it's goin right in my favorites ^^. I love the end of the last chapter with Gaara yelling after Lee. Kinda reminds me of how a parent would scold a child.
This is the best multy part non AU Naruto fic I've ever read ^_^. That may not sound like much. But when there's a tiny handful amount of highschool, and smutty one shots worth reading. It's so nice to have something one going set in the Naruto universe and caught up with the most recent mangas ^_^.
