I really like the charaterizations of Lee and Gaara in this story. I think there needs to be more well-thought stories featuring Gaara, just like yours. This is the first time I've really seen Gaara character explored as more than a blood-thirsy, kinky-sex type of guy. So I really like this story. I can't wait to read your other chapters.

Ok, normally, I would absoultly flame your ass for posting unfinished fanfiction. I hate it, it disgusts me- writing is an art. I don't post unfinished artwork, and I don't think anyone else should.

HOWEVER OMG GAARALEE. YOU MUST FINISH IT AND YOU MUST FINISH IT NOW SO I CAN READ ALL THE GAARALEE GOODNESS.

I really liked the parallel you drew between Gaara's attitude towards the birds and his attitude towards his village. It's not something that many people would have thought to include, and made your story seem all the more professional. Once again, great job, everyone's perfectly in character, and if you don't update within a week I'll do three hundred... laps around my campus! *thumbs up*

...Okay, not really, because you'd probably be mean and wait just so I'd HAVE to do them (I did the nice guy pose and EVERYTHING...), and I'd probably pass out after the first one, anyway.

This is the best LeexGaara fanfiction I think that I've read in ages. Seriously, there's only one other one that was good, and I don't want to compare this to it, since it's a different feel. But goddamn, I'm impressed. Your writing is very smooth, pauses at humorous and appropriate intervals, a generous use of vocabularly, proper characterization... You create interest in interaction, and I credit you highly for that. :D I'm already riveted and I just read the first chapter.

I'm really so happy that this is being written, that you're posting this. There has been SO MUCH Naruto crap in this fandom floating around that I haven't been able to find anything good for *months*.

By the way, LOVE the Power Dumplings and your delivery concerning them--reminds me of Fighter from 8-Bit Theatre, when, while in the arctic, found an armor made of ice and put it on.

"Yup! It's icy core protects me against the cold. It's working so well I can't even feel my limbs anymore."

And then he punched him. :D

sometimes I miss the old Gaara too, so it's cool that you have not lose that psychotic spark in him. ^_^ and I love Kankuro in this. he may be a punk ass, but he can such a sweetie sometimes

I have never seen this pairing before and I was skeptical but I think your characterisation is dead on.
I'm not much of a Lee fan but you make him bearable with his enthusiastic naivete. I'm looking forward to the rest.

Lee's voice is dead-on--which is just killing me. Seriously. Every time he starts talking--or, better, *doesn't* notice something (like the reason that the guys watch Shizune and Tsunade has little to do with technique...)--I'm like, 'yup. That's Lee.' *grins* (I also love the way you're leading up to Lee being gay--what with him worried that Tsunade might turn to quick, and he'll see something he doesn't want to see in a leader and whatnot. *laughs*)

As for Gaara--I love Gaara. I love young-crazy Gaara, and I love not-so-crazy-Gaara, and I really love this Gaara. He reads right--and you've got some fantastic descriptions. The one about him saying something in a voice suited to giving death threats was great. *grins*

And you know, I think I have this one of the many recs lists people have sent to me... the title seems familiar...

Your characterizations of both Lee and Gaara are SUPERB!

I trust you'll be continuing this one? Lee and Gaara fics are so few and far between, and this one is off to such a great start! I look forward to reading further installments...
