So, over the years, I think I've read this 8 times. Maybe more. And this time around I began to wonder if I had ever reviewed it. My bad. I usually don't leave a review unless I have something constructive to say, and I couldn't think of anything. I love everything about this story and I'll probably come back to re-read it again a few months from now. So this is really just a long-winded thank you for posting such an original and sweet fic!

I've read this story several times... excuse me if I rehash the same topics... your story is a favorite of mine.

I laughed so hard, you really pegged Gai… the story was hilarious and heart rending, gave me a new appreciation for Gai, changed him from a dope to someone sweetly innocent in a touching way.

Your portrayal of Kakashi was great too; the story made sense and fit well with the Naruto storyline. Your references to Anko’s sexual antics were too funny!

“Of course, the real fun is when you dip the fingers in lye after you rip out the nails...” God I LOVE that line! And… “Hurt them when they weren't expecting it and you were breathing through a hole in your throat while they were apologizing for their reflexes.” Oh my, toooo funny!!!!

Wonderful sensitive seduction… if only first times were like that and not like the norm… Idika’s version. I normally like things rough and violent but your story was so good it changed my views.

Congratulations! Beautifully done. A great story, complete solid plot, not just sex. Great pairing, very believable… meshing nicely, almost seamlessly, into the series. The characters stay in character very well, which is always a difficult thing to manage when using someone else’s well known characters. One of the best written stories I’ve read so far.


In Chapter 1, Gai's Challenge is truly cringeworthy! I felt for Kakashi! Too funny! You make this pairing work great! Everyone stays in character beautifully!

A growling protective Kakashi is so very seriously hot!

You didn't drag me into this kicking and screaming. I figured that since I liked your GaaraLee stories, and I don't read that pairing because no one can get Gaara right(besides you), I'd try a GaiKakashi fic by you. I have to say, though, that the lye part was disturbing and yet fascinating at the same time! ^^

Your fics are really good and I'm glad I stumbled on you! I hope you keep writing more, whether they're Gai and Kakashi, or Gaara and Lee, or other pairings!

I have to admit that this pairing is certainly not one I would think of, nor in normal circumstances actually read. But something in your description had me click on it even if only out of curiousity. You did a great job in making this pairing work, and more than anything else, it's a well written story. You have a very clear and directed plot, with a general flow that doesn't confuse the reader. It was actually plausible that Gai and Kakashi could be together, because you stuck to their personalities and found a clever way to throw them together through their well expressed rivalry. Your idea is creative and well thought out. This was a story I truly enjoyed because the writing was excellent. I'm going to have to go peruse your other stories now, and thank you very much for a clear and concise piece of fanfiction that was fun and easy to read.

it's wonderful; I love Gai/kakashi to hell and back and glad that someone makes it; it's really well done and goes into the mindsets, issues, and lives of both of our favorite jounin's (well mine anyway; kakashi is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too popular at times.)
