YES!!! THIS IS SUCH A WONDERFUL, in-depth story. very descriptive and understandable. I also find it hard picturing Itachi to 'love' someone, but could you at least help him 'recover' some of his emotions? You're doing a wonderful job, and I'm curious... but, is this the end of Itachi/Naruto, now that Naruto is back with the group?

*hyperventilates* My god, I bet you're secretly Masashi Kishimoto with an cool alias x_O. Everything you write sound so perfect! Gods, it all fits - everything. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of work you're putting into this fic... *bow* I worship you!!! Every single character absolutely kicks ass (especially Naruto and Itachi T_T *sobs in happiness*) and they're all IN character - like you - like you actually KNOW them (you're so amazing *_*).

*breathes* Uwa... is my review creepy or what -.-''. Sorry, I just read this fic today because I've never really had that much interest in ItaNaru, but like the fabulous author you are, you've swayed me over to the dark side. It took me over two hours to read, but oh god, I think they were the best two hours of my life (how sad is my life, right?).

Anyway, to the point of the review: Update please ^^!

I must say I am very pleased with this chapter; and with your story over all. Cliché moments like a character ‘coming back from the dead’ are always difficult to try to make new but I think you handled the situation beautifully and; though one would know the responses of the other characters; it was still very desirable to read.

Also the new development with the Kyuubi was artfully done and; since there was the truce many chapters before hand; it flowed easily within the plot, showing that Naruto had considered the option beforehand. It is amazing how many stories will add such things without reasoning or even proper timing.

The story overall is very intriguing and wonderfully written. Naruto’s relationship with Itachi is slow moving as to make it very believable but also it is not the focal point of then entire plot so the reader is not bored while waiting for a single event to happen.

The maturing of Naruto, his power, and his beliefs are, in my opinion, betrayed wonderfully. He has a depth that is not betrayed always in the series but at the same time he didn’t gain extreme knowledge and suddenly know how to use all his power and be invincible. I think you have made my love for him increase even more; if that’s really possible.

On Itachi; than you /soooo/ much for keeping his personality intact. It is a large pet peeve of mine when people decide that he /didn’t/ kill his family and he is really nice… honestly… XD. Also your reasoning behind his motives are perfectly delicious and just twisted enough to hook the reader into his mind; and to crave more.

Waiting for the next chapter will be; like always; a task upon my patience as it wait diligently for you.
With best regards- Forbidden Secrets

Wow... I read this thing all the way through without glancing at another story for the past few days, only stopping to go to school, and I've got to say that this is one of the gretest, if not the best, story I've ever read - especially in the Naruto fandom. And don't take that lightly, because I've read so many out there of varying degrees of talent that I'd almost consider myself to be a veteran (I don't mean this in a self-centered way, I'm merely stating facts). I haven't been able to tear myself away from my computer, I've been so engrossed with your work for the past few days. I'm still feeling giddy. I'm an author myself on a different site, so I really appreciated the thought and effort that way put into this. I'm extremely glad to have found someone else who views the Naruto characters, especially Itachi and Naruto, in just about the exact same way I do. Winter Release has also given me some other ideas to consider that I didn't really think about before. I'm actually enjoying the pace of this story, and that the ItaNaru relationship isn't being rushed, and that's it's believable in terms of Kishimoto-sensei's original story line. I'm pretty much open to anything, as well as there's a firm basis and comprehensible reasoning behind it. It's nice how you add in some of the parts from the actual series, as it serves as a type of grounding for the reader, something they can grasp onto and feel like they have a greater understanding, connection and familiarity of the events occuring in your story. In an odd (yet no so much, something strange in itself) way, I can actually see something ilke this happening, if circumstances were varied slightly in the actual series, and Kishimoto-sensei would actually include shonen-ai/yaoi (which is farily obviously hinted at, if the majority of the fans have recognized and embraced the hidden possible relationships 'underneath the underneath').I like how you also elaborate on Itachi's past, as well as those of other characters, and various points of views. I also like your OC. Amusing guy, really. Brialliant original idea. I couldn't help but grinning at the idea of a Hyuuga being in Akatsuki, nevermind the leader. Is he a member of the main or branch family, or something else entirley? He apparently doesn't have the typical seal that the branch members have, but he does have the cloud-shaped tattoos/markings on his body. Is that related, or something separater? Also, I couldn't quite tell if you were hinting at an (eventual)Lee/Gaara, kind of one-sided seeing as Gaara's only been recently intoduced to emotions and a slightly more normal (human) lifestyle by Naruto, and doesn't really comprehend the meaning of love or the variety of other emotions yet, or if I was looking a bit too much into it, and it's more of an acceptance/friend(lier) acquaintance type of thing. I think that Gaara's gone through enough as it is without having to add the responsibility and turmoil involved in being in a relationship on his shoulders. You didn't mention any sort of (one-sided) Lee/Gaara thing earlier, so I'm assuming that this wasn't your intention. Anyway... this is going to be a long review, seeing as it's for 20 chapters worth, and I've had time to think about it and really take things into consideration and spin them around in my mind a bit. I'm intrigued by Itachi's character (always have been, but it's great how you describe him, as it's greatly similar to how I view him, myself). I especially like his leaf analogy. And his 'perfection' and his emotions, and the ability to be so consumed by his hatred that he's able to make it (just about) the only emotion he feels (or allows himself to). His connection to Shisui, their relationship, and his involvement and reasoning behind his death, were all enthralling to me, too. Ánd Naruto's effect on Itachi, slowly but surely beginning to unravel who he is and what makes him tick (only brushing just beneath the surface at this point, yet which is further than just about anyone has gotten). I like how their relationship is playing out. And how they would simply stare at one another and observe each other's actions, trying to find something that even they themselves aren't precisely sure of, nor knowing what they'll find. I found it suiting that Itachi would try to have absolute control, not even allowing Naruto to touch him, and what Naruto's sudden action of pulling Itachi's hair down, and licking his lips, and asking him pointed questions that hit their mark... what all of these signify on their 'relationship', and on Itachi and Naruto's slight but inportant changes as individuals, and how they see and feel (not in the romantic sense) toward each other. The relationship in itself is funny/amusing simply because it's so twisted here, and yet you know it could turn out so well. There's meaning behind it, but it keeps on changing yet remaining the same with the more time the two are exposed to one another. I like how you involve all of the characters (just about) in some way, and how they all manage to somehow be significant to the plot. I also like Kyuubi and Naruto's relationship. Kyuubi doesn't care about Naruto, not really (espacially in any type of friendly/caring sense). I can't even really tell if your trying to show Kyuubi as uncaring about his survival or not -although either way its hard to say, seeing as Kyuubi is such a complicated character, as are many of the others. I like how you make sure the reader is aware that Naruto is powerful even without the Kyuubi, but hés not invinceable - he still has a lot of growing to do, but he needs Kyuubi, and the kitsune's experience, in order to more fully be able to achieve this strength, and to help him survive better in the world - seeing as Naruto is naturally hot-headed at times when his emotions are running high, and he doesn't always think things through before acting on his instincts/simply making rash actions. It's also great how Naruto makes sure to stay optimistic, and not weepy or depressed, but has a sense of reality and knows when he's incapable of doing certain things, or when people/things/situations are way beyond his leverl (and yet he'll face them if he has to anyway, because he has to reach his goal). I like how you included Konhagakure's citizens' treatment towards Naruto, and made it believable. And how you didn't have Naruto running away, even when things went from bad to terrible, and thing continued to worsen for him; I can't see him running from his problems like that, but he'd definitely need some breathing space from it in order for any of his remaining sanity to stay intact. It was also great how you didn't have Itachi suddenly gaining a sudden interest in Naruto out of the blew; it was already existing, slightly dormant, but continued to grow as Itachi continued to observe Naruto and start to see more of the person he is beneath his mask. Everyone has a mask, after all, but people like Itachi and Naruto have masks that are so intricate and vital and constantly used to the point that they no longer who the 'real' them is, and what is in fact fake, or if their mask is the truth and everything else is now a lie. I like how their helping each other''s characters change and develop and certain ways. Their relationship is awesome - really well though out and written on your part. I can understand it, see it happening - but there's a lot more that has to happen, obviously, for them to be able to get anywhere with it, as at this point ther's no real stability behind it, and it's rather out of control and twisted - but not irrational or without thought put behind it, as Itachi always has a reason behind what he does, and Naruto has had time enough to think things through to get a basic grasp of the situation, and Itachi as an individual. I like how you include the various relationships of the side characters, but don't focus on them a great deal of the time. It would be fairly dull if you did, in my opinon, since there's enough going on with Itachi and Naruto to leave us nraptured for a good long time. But it's good to know what's going on behind the scenes with everyone else, such as Konohagakure, Otogakure, Suna, Sasuke, etc. It's also fantasitc how you explain the story in a fairly unbiased point of view, so we can see things from everyone's point of view and draw out own feelings and conclusions, such as the villagers and the ANBU, and Sasuke, Orochimaru, Kabuto, Jiraiya, the members of Akatcuki, etc. This is extremely well written, and you obviously have a enormous talent for writing. It's original, but can easily being compared and connected to the cannon. It's awesome. I love it. If I was an author here, I'd put you under my favorites - but I'm not (and I'm going to end this review now, because I'm rambling trying to get everything I want to say into this one review, although I'm sure there's plenty I'll recall wanting to say, or will think of later, which I'll have been unable to add to this review; I only hope you understand how much in awe Í am of your skill as a writer, and appreciate and agree with the way you think - definitely in terms os the series and its different aspects and characters), so I can only desperately wait for you to update so as to continue to discover what's happening in this fascinating story. Continue the amazing work! And feel free to e-mail me; it'd be nice to talk with a fellow fan, and I think I'd find you to be a wonderful person. Ja ne! ^____^

I normally read all that I can before reviewing...

and I must say, it kept me rivited to my Monitor for 3 days...Had to pace myself with my own book project.

I love every twist, turn and small part that changes.

Most importantly: I like the fact that you showed Naruto is strong without Kyuubi. It showed a lot of character on his part that I think is within the anime and manga...but most don't really bother to see it at times.

Keep up the good work, can't wait to see how Itachi 'feels' about all that goes on, and how Sasuke reacts to everything.

After many days being kicked out of the computer by my parents, I finished reading your story so far. And I must admit, even if I HATE angst, and I'm not a ItachiNaruto fan either, I liked it very much. It's very well written and the story is very interesting, it kept drawing me in until the end. I hope you update it soon, such a good story deserves it, and your readers as well.
