Wow. That was amazing. *Shivers*
I love the line about Sasuke only showing his love when death was close. And this one:
"Even when Sasuke was trying to kill him, in his own sick way, he was telling Naruto he loved him, for only by killing one’s greatest love, one’s best friend, one’s most precious person—could the Mangekyou Sharingan be gained."
I've thought about that before, but seeing it phrased like this makes it even more touching/sad.

Wow. That was very original... not to mention very complex and introspective. It's difficult to break free of the usual formulas used in fanfictions, and you've done it. I'll be eagerly awaiting more.
