marveling over the strange urge to whisper when someone else does. that is so true. and i love how intimate it makes it feel (well, they are pretty intimate there lol) also...i hope naru actually got/gets up lol...they might catch a cold >.>
ooh, and the morning after the (first?) accidental-during-sleep kiss...naruto's reaction was spot-on, so IC, IMHO. i like shikamaru's observations and show of care without prying. awww, they watched the sunset. shika had good intuition about that ne... and i like the description of rising to a challenge like a game of shogi. NICE.

kyaa, yayz! I'm so glad I told you it was Shika's b-day today! And that you buckled down and wrote on this, cuz Shika deserves some love on his bday dammit, and wtf knows if *I'll* finish *my* project in time... >.< stupid procrastinating me..
anyway, I love how you write Shika, TRULY, and Shika/Naru's interaction. I like the observations Shika makes about Naru's house, and that the empty ramen bowls around the apartment are simply acknowledged without disgust or much reaction other than he probably expected that from Naruto :p I like that he focuses on the interesting features, like the spirals and the window. (sounds pretteh to meeee actually). Naruto's bedroom is a bit morbid...interesting, but ominous feeling. I want to know how it came about, and did he paint it? The detail of the bed being extremely tall intrigues me also.
the couch's comfort mojo makes me giggle. i can totally see shika succumbing to comfort mojo on a couch. and, really, i just love the idea of shika saying mojo. *giggle*
the last scene!! OMGOMGOMGGGGG dude.. WHY do you DO THIS to me??? you always give me a taste enough to make my mouth water, and then leave me hangin', espcially with this fic that I seem to crave. It is of the good, though, that means you're doin' it right, ne? XP but seriously...that last scene was so the perfect blend of tender, sweet, and heartbreaking! you did SO MUCH with such a simple scene, it makes my heart hurt. i can't wait til nic's b-day, for realz yo
