You don't suck. I know crap, I can show you crap, and believe your story is not it. So don't feel bad. Putting Sai in actually wasn't a bad choice in my opinion. It's a way for the two Naruto's to be introduced that doesn't take excessively long and isn't ridiculous.
About the betas, you could put up a notice in your story. If you go to the group, you just post a notice saying that your looking for a beta and give a description and a link to your story. You can also go to the forum and ask there. Personally I prefer the forum, the people there are nicer. If you can't find a beta at those places, I'd be willing to do it for you for a bit, but I can be slow with it depending on what's going on at the moment.
On Neji and Gaara, *sigh* I've read so many stories that portray them as delusional, obsessive almost stalkers. Liking Sasuke isn't a problem, but there's no need to put down Gaara or Neji in an attempt to build him up. And it's not just the author's but the readers too. I have two specific examples. In the first, this author wrote a story where Naruto had a secret lover and the readers would vote in a poll to decide who he was. She had maybe 10 other options, but Sasuke got more votes than everyone else combined. In another story, Naruto had a secret admirer. It was supposed to be a mystery and we would guess who the admirer was based on clues. Even before clues were given, there were a ton of people asking for Sasuke. Then when clues were given that eliminated Sasuke, they were still saying it was him. Then when the author specifically said that he had been eliminated and that it was final, they were still asking for Sasuke. And then when the admirer was revealed as Neji (though stupid Shikamaru stole his thunder, grrrr), they were still saying Sasuke. And now she's started a sequel where another admirer has popped up and the Sasuke single-mindedness has started again. I can't wait until the people in the Naruto fandom gain some imagination and realize that it doesn't ALWAYS have to be Sasuke. I mean I like SasuNaru, but come on. Lack of variety leads to boredom and I'm getting bored.

The two Naruto's really are similar aren't they, both a bit dense. And you just can't help wanting to squeeze him for it. Moving on, you make me very happy and I agree with you, SasuNaru stories are starting to get a bit old for me. They have to be well-written (and preferably not a triangle where they portray Gaara and/or Neji as losers) or they drive me nuts. I'm also with you on seme!Naruto, at least with certain pairings. ItaNaru definitely being one of them. I can buy some NaruSasu stories (though they're usually AU or the characters are OOC) but unless the author seriously frigs with Itachi's character, there is no way he'd ever be an uke to anybody, including Naruto. It would just be too weird. Anyways I liked your new chapter, I can't wait until Other World!Naruto figures it out or the two come face to face. Though I am wondering about Other World!Itachi. Is he going to show up at some point or is Other World!Naruto going to get with This World!Itachi or is This

(not to be confused with other kyuubi person) *random squish* I like this. I don't care if the chapter was short, it's nice when an author is eager. I think the story's really fun so far, and I like listening to Kisame and Itachi talk with out of timeline Naruto. You'd think they'd be hardasses but it's obvious from the manga there's quite a bit of humor within the Akatsuki. So, I think it works! Poor Naruto, in a world where he's dating Ita... although I'm also a fan of ItaNaru (and SasuNaru), so yay!

So there are two different Naruto's, one Akatsuki and one not? Well that's going to be complicated isn't it. I can't wait to see what you write next, I love ItaNaru stories. Though I'm guessing this will also be a SasuNaru story. Again complicated. Oh well, as long as there's ItaNaru in it and hopefully the Akatsuki Naruto will stay with Itachi I'm happy. There aren't enough non-SasuNaru stories out there.
