I like this story! I usually follow it on FF.net but since I saw it here with updates...
one sort of rant first: you think Naruto was worse than the average genin... I don't agree with the Naruto not knowing anything: most of the genin we see don't know a lot of jutsus either... I'm pretty sure Sakura only knew the general ones like henge and shadow clone before she started training under Tsunade. you know, the ones taught to every student. and if he was really worse than the avarage genin he couldn't have beaten Gaara and Neji (only the chakra came from Kyuubi...) and while I haven't seen the battle against Sasuke yet I've read he did pretty well there too... and with the tree-walking, water-walking and the Rasengan (which you need chakracontrol for) he's already done, even if the tree-walking and Rasengan weren't up to standard, I don't think his chakracontrol is (that much) worse than the avarage ninja either. not anymore at least... but if that doesn't fit your story... just had to get that off my chest.
I really like the team you have for Naruto... especially Itachi the way he is now. they all want Naruto to learn to love Konoha but Itachi doesn't and I don't think he sees why Naruto should either... will he learn it or will neither? how long will it be until they get together? Naruto was already blushing at least.
and Anko is scary... how will he have energy for the rest of his lessons?! will Naruto get Kyuubi's power back eventually or is that sealed forever?

This is an awesome story! I really like how it balances seriousness and humor, and makes you think. I think the plot could probably progress a bit faster, although I like the care you take in describing the various steps of Naruto's journey into ANBU. I really like how you made Iruka an ANBU, and how Itachi isn't evil, and also describing the ANBU masks in detail. Thank you for writing!

I didn't think the training would get more intense. Wow. You are doing very well with this. I applaud you. And while i like the training, and it IS very interesting i can't wait to see what'll happen when the OTHER stuff happens lol. May the writing gods be with you.
