I have to say that this story really, really grabs a person by the throat. Every chapter that comes out I almost dread reading b/c of the utter angst and the heavy heart it gives me but the thought that maybe there is still hope for them both keeps me coming back for more. Only a few times in my life have I read a story that has struck such a deep nerve - the utter despair that is so obvious in Sasuke and the helplessness of Naruto is just so heart wrenching. However, in spite of my near dread of each new chapter this is a wonderful story and I am anxious to read the rest...

Oh. My. GOD.
Seriously...if there's ever going to be an official sequel to Strawberries and Lace then this should be it. I loved that story...with all my heart and soul... After finding it, i read it at least twice a day for almost three weeks till i almost knew it off by heart. And this...this...masterpiece of writing...
*speechless*
In the back of my mind, i had toyed with writing a sqeuel myself, strictly for my own perverse enjoyment. But nothing i could have written would have come close to this stupendously amazing story. Words are failing me...and i'm unable to express just how delighted, elated, thrilled and in awe i was that this story turned out as well as it did. So many things could have gone wrong with it but...you've carried on the style wonderfully and..just...everything...
...Everything, the reasoning behind it, especially with Sasu/ki's new revelations in the most recent chapter, explaining his overwhelming urge to dress as Saki, everything is so well thought out. I love these kind of stories that delve into people as opposed to the genric fiction that is being pumped out by the masses. Sure, those are wonderful too, in their own way, but they could never compare to something as breathtaking as this.
I love the inclusion of other characters into the story and their desire to include Sasu/ki, regardless of how he's dressed. It's such a sweet and endearing image.
And now, with the inclusion of the idea of Orochimaru coming back...i'm concerned for sasu/ki's wellfare...(oh...and also just to mention, his reaction to the snake when the were harvesting the watercress was brilliantly done...it just seemed so real...everything about this story just seems so real...nothing is far-fetched or denying the laws of nature, physics, gravity or anything else...It's what makes it a stroke of genius...)
Again...words can't express how much I am lookinglook foward to the new chapter...and the rest of the story when it's finally completed. Please don't be one of those authors that starts an amazing story, only to abandon it when it becomes too difficult. Please continue this...i'm begging you with all my heart and soul...

I just finished reading the first chapter. It was very well written. You captured the conflicting inner self of Sasuke very well. Loved it.

Had not a clue that this fanfic-of-a-fanfic existed until this evening. Definitely well-written and strangely intriguing if not borderline disturbing, much like the original. To imagine Sasuke in drag... ah, the horror. But such is the plot. And it works so oddly well. Looking forward to more.

I'm always skeptical of fanfictions based off of other fanfictions but man, that-that was good. Damned good. Please, continue!

Wow, this fic is creepy. I know what a mess Sasuke is after reading Asuka's fic...heck, reading Naruto gave me enough clues, but your fic is downright creepy. I can't seem to get a clear image of Sasuke, since Naruto mentions Saki all the time. But hey, you're doing an awesome job. Although I must say that Sasuke looks better in lolita-style then the kimimaro-like outfit he now wears in the manga (or maybe that's my inner pervert talking :P).
I'm extremely curious where this story will go and if (big IF) there will be a happy ending. Your chappies are long, which I like. I love getting stuck in the story and you left me grumbling with the cliffhanger. Sasuke is not showing up... where is he...?
Anyways, keep up the good work and I'll be readin like a good little...eh...reader. :D

I never thought that I would enjoy a story like this, but you have such an ability to write Sasuke and Naruto that I can't stay away. I really hope that more of those 8 chapters go up soon.

Love this story. Loved the originals (by the other author) and love the depth you've added to them. Of course I'm hoping for happy enddings, but I'm not overly expectant on that... so far it's all a bit sad (something about crying nearly five times while reading this gave that away).
Anyway. A review for a worthy story. I look forwards to reading the other six parts.

Finished chapter 2. A little bit sad. Sasuke's so messed up. I hope in the end it will all work out. I enjoyed this story very much. - Redcloudangel
