I bet at this point Naruto wants to smack himself upside the head for not noticing some of the things that Shikamaru pointed out to him. I still love how Shika seems to know when somethings wrong with Naruto and is willing to go after him, he always seems to be able to say the exact right thing too. Another great chapter and I thought the interaction between the two of them was perfect, I look forward to the rest! :)

I like the way you're showing a different side of Naruto, it's interesting to see him so philosophical and serious you don't see that too often, it must have been so hard to be honest with himself. I also liked Shikamaru's mom and her reaction to his questions about Naruto and how she encouraged him without being too pushy, I look forward to seeing what happens next!

Awwww. That was so sweet. Makes me wanna go cloud-watching, too. I liked their little heart to heart and the part with shika's mommy was too cute. Her response to shika's question was perfect! ^_^ I'm looking foward to seeing what shika was talking about at the end. See ya next time. Ja!

loving has been commenced. ^__^ *glomps* gah! i loved this chapter! we got to have some moments with a sullen naru (that almost made me cry myself) and a curious shika. i liked how we got to see 'the kiss' scene from shika's pov. i could easily see him laying back saying his fave word after being accidentally kissed by naru. but the question is: now that he knows what naru is up to, is he gonna let naru have his way or is he gonna give naru a hard time? now, of course, letting naru accomplish his goal is the less troublesome choice but i think shika should have a little fun with naru. *evil grin* anyway, i'm rambling. so until next time, ja!

omg...I'm loving this story more and more ^^ I just can't wait for the next update!!

I have to admit that in ch.2 I actually thought that I would have liked a NaruIno pairing, she's definitely got the strength and personality to hold her own against Naruto. After ch.3 though I can see how Shikamaru and Naruto would work so well together especially after seeing how insightful Shika is of Naruto and what he's truly feeling, it's very well written and I look forward to the next update!
