Truly this is a wonderful story. I have enjoyed reading it completely! I do hope that you can find time to write more of it soon. I never read KakaIru, but I will read this story! It is a gem amongst all the crap on AFF lately. ^^

That was sweet of Iruka to do that for Naruto and I'm glad that Kakashi was their to save them earlier that day. Hurry with the next chapter!!

Iruka and Naruto are just absolutely adorable together in this and you've done a good job of showing the ups and downs of what they have to deal with. One of the parts that struck me was when Naruto started crying because of his birthday, it was just so heartbreaking but really well done.
I also like how you're starting to see a change in some of the people around Naruto, Raidou is a good example of that. He's one of my favourites so I'm glad that he's one of the guys that has taken to Naruto, if Iruka didn't already like Kakashi I would have suggested he go for Raidou ;)
I can't wait to see the birthday party because I'm sure that even if it's only a couple of people that show up it would still be better than anything Naruto's had before, I just hope it doesn't get ruined. Anyway I look forward to the rest of the story but I think I had better stop now, I've rambled for long enough :)

*cocks head slightly* HOW old is Naruto in this? he's described as small, but it could be due to the fact he don't eat enough veggies/fruits...PLEASE have Iruka feed him some fruits/veggies if possible! Gai or Raido could do the shopping for Iruka, if nessacary...I doubt the villagers would sell a ninja unspoiled food, due to the fact it ruins their business, or someone might complain to Sandaime...
