Ok, this is a really good story so far. It's proofread, it has a nice flow and it establishes a context.
My only pet peeve is that you wanted 10 reviews before the next chapter. Uh, my experience (admittedly not on this site) says: Reviewers are, generally speaking, inconsistant at best and prone to verbal spasms of fanspeak as a baseline standard, so you should just go ahead anyway, regardless of whether or not anyone reviews. Reviews also have a nasty habit of becoming addictive and it would be best to stay detached from them, as I doubt you want to be hovering over your inbox every day, waiting for the next one.
That being said, so far you're off to a good start and I look forward to reading more.
