This chapter is great. Very sad and not very full of hope except for the hope that Shikamaru brings them, or the possibilities that come with that.

Dude, if I were Sakura, it would be anger keeping me alive. I'd be pissed at them for leaving the village behind and therefore practicallly defenseless. They don't really deserve her love and hope if they left her to her fate like that. They had to know that leaving with the most powerful shinobi would leave the village wide open for attack and invasion. In short, I would have hoped an experience like this may have made her body weaker, but would make her a stronger person in terms of will and inner strength if only fueled by fury at her situation. Anywhoo, I do like the concept of the story. I love me the dark ones. Definitely keep going. I do hope that when Sasuke and Naruto get there, they torture themselves over the fact that they left her to a terrible fate. Wow. Sorry. That was angsty.

I can't believe I didn't review this when I read it. This story is very interesting so far. I am looking forward to the next chapter.
