I really loved your portrayal of Gai (most people go a little over board ^^;)
I also like how you kept intercutting the story with memories from their teen years, showing their history.
A very good fic of my very favorite yoai pairing!

Aside from awesome characterization, and just overall workability, what I love most about this is that you threw in ideas of them doing things together when younger - which not many people do. Oh, so good. The line about the mask - "They'd already had that ceremony" - loved it. I really liked how you wove their past into the middle of the action, how it made both their shared past and the current moment more meaningful. Great, hot, HOT sex scene - I loved the tension, and Gai forcing Kakashi to accept what was good for him. ^_^

I don't even have words to tell you how much I liked this. It was raw and real and laced with the poisoned madness of the ANBU and I loved every bit of it. And the call for a 'cease-fuck'? That was funny.

I don't normally like Gai paired with anyone because, well, look at him- he's not exactly a bishi, but I'm really starting to warm up to him in yaoi pairings. I guess I just had to 'look underneath the underneath' to see how amazingly wonderful Gai truly is. And now that I realize it, it's like *well duhhhhhh!* because he is caring and sensitive and strong and overall a great human being. This fic just drove home all his good points- his loyalty to Kakashi especially came through here. Again, great fic, I really loved it.
