Itachi balances Sasuke out. Leave them as a trio.

Even better would be a confrontation between the kids and their never home dads.

Option 2, definitely. Option 1 doesn't make as much sense for this story since it's already been established that Sasuke and Itachi are out of love with each other and have been for a while now. (Adding Naruto wouldn't really make them fall back in love with each other in the same way that a woman having a baby won't make her and her husband fall back in love with each other if they've also fallen out of romantic love.) Plus, both brothers seem to want to move on from their relationship, Itachi even mentioned it in this chapter, that he was hoping Naruto could help complete him and Sasuke and then help them move on. As for Naruto and Itachi, they seem to be in the exact same place where Sasuke and Itachi are: they feel "comfort/affection/lust," but that's still the feelings of "brothers with benefits," rather than actual love. The ease of the Itachi + Naruto relationship, Naruto's happiness as being considered family by Itachi, all of those add to the feeling of them being brothers with benefits. They don't have to fight their feelings the way Naruto and Sasuke do because they aren't risking nearly as much emotionally. I think if you went with option 1, it would end up with all of them "happily but awkwardly" being together, as you said. (That's not that great for all parties involved.)

Alternatively, you could do a compromise between options 1 and 2 where Itachi also finds someone who really pushes his buttons, but the story ends with the understanding that on occasion, if the mood ever strikes, they might still do threesomes (or perhaps foursomes if you put Itachi with someone really hot like Kakashi or Shisui?) But overall, I don't think option 1 would be the happiest possible ending for these particular characters.

First off, can I say that I love this story? It's so hard for me to choose between SIN and SasuNaru. Normally I would be BEGGING you to keep it SIN because it is my favorite pairing, but I just get the feeling that this is a SasuNaru story. I am not sure if you have even noticed it in your writing, but everything is pointing towards Naruto and Sasuke becoming enamored with each other (in the good way). You kind of always mention Itachi as a side note, or have Naruto always comparing Itachi to Sasuke (and never the other way around ie. comparing Sasuke to Itachi. It's like Naruto can see the similarities between Itachi and Sasuke (like how sasuke looks like itachi but naruto finds sasuke more attractive and enthralling)but he always appreciates Sasuke more. I don't really know, but the way I am reading this story is SasuNaru with Naruto somewhat falling for Itachi because Itachi is a "safer" version of Sasuke. I get that Naruto really does like/love Itachi because he is so nice to him and is a good person, but I see Itachi becoming a big brother figure to Naruto. I feel like the chemistry solely between Naruto and Sasuke is much stronger than the chemistry between the three of them. I love SIN but I think that this story is definitely more of a SasuNaru story with some steamy SIN scenes.

LOVED the chapter and it should stay a threesome. And I think Sasuke and Naruto should be able to switch sometimes. But awesome chapter!

ItaNaruSasu, cuz when I read with threesomes with Itachi, Naruto, and Sasuke I like Naruto as the uke.
