this would have been excellent no matter how it ended up, or where you stopped it - happy, sad, or a little of both. i got a little light-headed in the middle (shaddup), so if that's what you were going for, you succeeded in blowing my mind *grins*.

Let's see, i already sort of covered how much i like the first-times thing. You did SUCH a good job with that here, and with how after the sex started happening, it was the only way they interacted for a little while, until they got it sorted out.
you write some of the most involved, vivid sex scenes i've read, and yet there is absolutely NO 'tab A into slot B' going on here. nothing seems routine or predictable, and every new thing that gets revealed just makes me salivate (ok, raidou's cock, i suppose i don't need to be subtle here =)...its like as you're describing activity or sensation, its like give me MORE, because i can SEE it (and practically feel it, at least my heart was pounding and i had the shakes by the time this one was over)
you also did a really nice job w/ the first-person perspective. generally i shy away from that sort of story because i feel like authors insert too much of their OWN personal POV, but i don't think you did that here. it totally worked, and helped me feel like i was experiencing it too (and THAT was fun!!!) SO fucking sexy. i loved it.

Oh goodness... it's my birthday come early. And Christmas. And anniversary. And Easter.
I think that Raidou said it best when he asks how he'd never noticed how hot Genma is. It took me awhile to understand why fandom seems to consider Genma to be an utter slut. After all, you generally miss him the first sevreal times he appears in either the manga or the anime. It's only afterwards, when I wanted to check up on my knowledge of the chunnin exams that I even noticed him. I believe what caught my attention was his words to Sasuke about a ninja of Konoha needing to be useful to Konoha. that's quite a nindo right there- it definitely has wuite a few layers to work through and sounds a bit more complicated than Naruto's 'Believe it!' So I began to think of him as a fairly smart person (and he's an examinator as well, meaning he can't be too much of a slouch intellectually). And that's where I think most every one's thoughts go off course.
Once you notice Genma, you start to wonder about him. Eventually, you start to wonder about what he looks like with his hair down. Naked. Spread out on a bed. With his senbon dangling from the corner of his mouth. And then you remember what he can do with that senbon... and what else he can do with his mouth. It's a path from which there is no return. There is, simply put, no cure. The only question that remains is who else would fit into that imaginary bed.
Raidou's no slouch in the physical department either. Can yaoi fangirls refrain from wondering what touching those scars would be like? Or such a physically imposing body?
So putting Genma and Raidou together is like... a perfect combination really. There's no canon proof of their being together (besides, wouldn't that spoil part of the fun?), but they're close, they work together both on the field and off of it, so there are far fewer constraints than most pairings in order to get the two of them together. It doesn't matter how much I adore your Kakashi/Sasuke stories (which probably rank amongst the best slash in any fandom out there), you have now surpassed all of my expectations. Previous attempts at Genma and Raidou together often fall flat, with loads of unnecessary angst, overly sweet fluff and flowery confessions at the end. Your gift, no matter what the pairing really, is to make both characters more realistic. They have their problems and they have their angst, but they avoid mentioning things the same way normal people do. They have their issues and they work through them like people who have lives and other things to worry about do. There's no realisation that one might be gay and in love with one's best friend and the whole situation is resolved in time for tea. I love it!
And the sex. I'm terrified that by telling you exactly how much I love it, you might consider the pressure to do more to be far too great. In the same way that the updates for your first stories slowed after most of your readers realised that we'd sign away our first born sons if only you'd update just that little bit faster, I fear that too much squeeing on my ârt would be too much. But you are that good. You effortlessly build such sinfully evocative scenes (Raidou lifting Genma up as he comes- gawd) that flow so seamlessly from one to the other until we forget that we're reading fiction and are instead practically projected into a bedroom where the temperature is rising ... delicious.
Would begging for more from some of Konoha's hottest be too much? From you? It can't hurt to try , right? So pleeeeeeaase????
