Oh my gosh! Poor poor sasuko... erm... that is, sasuke! S/He might really be altered by those marriage jutsus to not only become a hyuuga, in name, but have his genetics altered, too? How awful... ! And .. ! Nooo! THat evil, bad bad dressing woman! Bad bad bad! *flails*

Poor Sasuke, obviously still unaware that by trying to be more understated than the giggly-girls he's only making himself stand out more *snorts* Thanks for explaining the [crazy] clan ritual *shakes head* why am I not surprised that a clan who'd slap a curse on a kid would also slap an arranged marriage on him, plus the fact that Hiashi presumes that he's doing Neji a favour by finding 'the perfect match' [aka they're both pig-headed with superiority complexes so let the *fireworks* commence :D]

...it makes me wonder about similarities to Itachi though, and whether Neji may just be pushed over the edge by this. So, Question-time [YAY]: is this following Naruto-timeline with Hiashi's revelation/reconciliation with Neji and Sasuke's defection or does it diverge prior to [one of] those? [again, apologies for being nosey like Whoa :3]
and as the Uchiha were just as ooky-kooky as the Hyuga and Itachi must have been about 13 when 'Wife Search' started is Neji of similar age aka is this shota too? [meh. I like Uchihacest pre-massacre so I'm not gonna complain, but you might wanna put that up if it is so, just to cover all bases ;p]
and lastly [for now *DUNdunDUN* ;p] is 'Wide of the Mark' a reference to when someone/something's really off base, eg: Sasuke completely fails to convince others that he's not the perfect match for Neji *grins* and Neji's completely 'wide of the mark' in convincing himself that he doesn't like a 'girl' as [crazy]stubborn as himself...
or is it meant to be suggestive in regards to *marks* and *width*, and as in archery, falling *short* of *finding* the *MARK*, aka 'failing to penetrate the mark'?

Oh, and I cracked up at your masterful typo of "This will be stunning with your *completion*" ;D ::dies::

And you win at life in general for bringing Sasuke back in all his bitchy glory. Quick question: [yeah, I lie and am curious like Whoa] do you intend to stick to one pov per chapter? If you are, there's one paragraph that doesn't quite fit with Sasuke's pov:
“But…but it’s so…plain!..." She complained, wondering why such a drab kimono had been left to sit with the others. It was so ordinary looking.
- which could easily be altered by changing her 'wondering' to barely audible muttering which Sasuke overhears like he does for the rest of the chapter, while still fitting in with her character of 'grumpy-exasperated-meddlnig old-woman' [Sasuke needs a nagging granny-figure, yes, he does ;D] and I actually kind of like her like that...

should I now type 'UPDATE SOON' and threaten you over the 'net?_? Nah, take your time - I'm cool with waiting *blames years of British transport system* as long as you don't discontinue upon which I would cry like ;__; or suddenly turn the Boys into non-repressed people [aka, OOC] I'm content, and, as always,
