OMG girl...this is good. I almost feel like the Snake bastard has a heart. If you do decide to continue this story, add it to my update request list. This has a lot of potential and could even make a die-hard Snake bastard hater into a possible fan.

Do what you can, when you can, with "Why Orange?" and I'll be patient. I still want to collab a story with you someday.

Hey there! Just wanted to say I like your story. Normally I prefer the stories where Orochimaru is the baddie, but I really like the direction you're taking with his character. You don't read too many stories with him as a "good guy", so it's nice finding one like this, especially by an author who does such good work on all their other fics. I'm really looking forward to future chapters of this story. Thanks!

That was really good. I am not a big Orochimaru fan, but this could make me really like him. And to think that Minato and Oro had something for each other that is a good twist.

Okay, I'll admit it. I had doubts- really BIG doubts- about your fic from its description. Orochimaru? Caring for Naruto? I would never have beleived it could be done without some sort of major personality overhall for the Sanin. You did it though and it was beleivable! I'm very glad I decided to read it and look forward to more chapters.

Alright, first let me say that this is really, really good. I like the set up, and reading about Orochimaru being a nice guy is a rare thing in fan fiction. A million points to you dear for not only making this first chapter intriguing, but that you stayed away from the cliché clique that Orochimaru is normally associated with (even if that clique is IC). Secondly, I for one am fond of Orochimaru/Naruto parings. I would love to see another fic out there with the two of them together, especially since yours has such an interesting twist. However, I sadly have the feeling that this is going to turn into a Sasuke x Naruto fic. Don’t get me wrong, I love those two together, but I think that most people are put-off by Oro/Naru, even if Orochimaru is playing a good guy. Also, I noticed that you hinted very subtly on the fact that Sasuke took concern for Naruto… a good opening to advance this as an SxN fic? Not to mention the overall feel of the chapter tends to lean towards –and this is just the way I feel– a ‘Naruto helps Orochimaru change his life,’ verses 'they fall in love’ sort of story. Even with the whole thing concerning Yondaime, it feels like a milestone that Naruto will help Orochimaru find closure in regards to, rather then become a replacement of.

Still, it only the first chapter and there’s countless ways that you can take it. I’m definitely looking forward to reading more.

As a parting note –and I feel obligated to state this, as I’m sure that not many people are rooting for Oro/Naru as a couple– if the given scenario is Naruto and Sasuke, then I must admit my slight disappointment. Although I am quite sure that this will turn out to be wonderful no matter what direction you take it –you’re an amazing writer, your style and idea’s are fabulous and I highly respect your talent– I think that this fic has a lot of potential to be a really good Oro/Naru fic and it would be a waste to fall back on such an overly used pairing. Again, don’t get me wrong, I write mostly Sasuke Naruto, and I LOVE them as a couple; it’s just that I like to see odd pairing pop up once in a while. This is especially true when a talented writer takes on the challenge. ^^

Anyway, I do believe that I’ve carried on long enough. Please forgive my incisive ramblings. This was an amazing start, and I can’t wait to read more. Please update soon!

You made Orochimaru so kind and sensative without him being really ooc. He always seemed really sad to me, seeking immortality so he would never have to suffer having those he loved die around him. I hope you keep writing, i look forward to Naruto joining orochimaru, and maybe wearing a Sound headband and saying he'll be the next otokage.
