this story is great and i vote that kakashi is framed, though it would be interesting to see how you write the story should kakashi be guilty of killing iruka. *laughs with mobid humor*

but it should be someone very close to them... I'd like it if Kakashi was Irukas lover and this murderer was someone obsessed with another one of them and jealous like hell!

Love this story!! I think it should be that Kakashi is being framed, he was very drunk the night before and he could have found Iruka already dead and in grief and shock ran off and hid the vest or the killer stole one of his vests to use to frame him. Then there can be a real mystery. I love mysteries! Thanks for sharing this story. :)

Well, I reviewed the story through ff.net and from that, I think my vote is pretty obvious... not Kakashi. I'd rather him be dead too than kill Iruka. That's my vote... I'm a sap, what can I say. Of course, it should probably be someone Naruto knows and cares about... but there are plenty to choose from and suspence rocks.
