This is...this is...I'm stunned speechless.

How do I say it? Beautiful is a such a puny word. There's no need for romance in fiction, Naruto. You've got the real deal right here. Not warm, not fuzzy, but the real thing. Everything.

I like very much. I love that he's paired with Gaara. I really think that Gaara and Naruto could fit really well together. I also like the little exploration into a relationship between Sasuke and Naruto. It brings up a few things that I've always thought about their relationship. Like the fact that Naruto would likely give in to Sasuke to make him feel better, stronger, and of course, more inclined to come home. I think he's got a much higher degree of selflessness and strength in him than Sasuke does. And in the end, just like what happened in your story, they wouldn't work out because Sasuke's too selfish as he is.

And then of course, the childhood pretty much devoid of affection leading him to seek out affection in other ways, but ending up disappointed when it doesn't last. Then continuing and seeking it out elsewhere. I'm glad he finally found someone to stick around for him. Sometimes it takes someone who's been through the same thing to help. And that's why I think they're perfect. Because more than any other character on Naruto, those two really have had similar bad experiences.

And I'm done rambling now, sorry :D It's really early in the morning and that's my only excuse. But I did really like this story, and I'm a bit disappointed you won't be adding anymore.

hmmm, this was interesting to read, and the explanation naru gave was kinda heartbreaking in a way. but it was rather sweet, especially when gaara says as shinobi they can't promise each other to be there in the morning.
