I really like what you have done with this story. I am halfway through right now. I think you did a good job of keeping the characters true to themselves. I also like your other story. A tale of two brothers. I hope you will update that story one day.

Okay, I just finished reading this and I just gotta say....I love the pairing of Naruto/Gaara more now!!! they have always been my second pairing that I liked but they have just booted Sasuke/Naruto into second place!!

Jonin or not, betting on people is wrong. I hope Gaara and Naruto find a way to get revenge. I don't trust Sai and Rui in this one...something about finding them in the apartment like that just struck me as wrong. Great update! Hopefully, Gaara and Naruto can find a way to stay together.

I must admit, I am amazingly impressed with this story. Beyond words. There is just so much about it that I adore.
Based off reading the description, this story was nothing at all what I expected, but it was oh so much more. Through out the earlier chapters when Naruto's living space was described, his reactions to Gaara, and the overall rejection from the town, my heart was pained. There was so much loneliness and sorrow that my heart went out for the characters in every chapter. I also loved how the characters revealed themselves and developed over time. Naruto's hidden personality was just so fleshed out that I have no critiques on your handling of the characters. The storyline is refreshingly original as well. Also, how Naruto came to terms with his feelings for Gaara was well paced and done with great care. =^^=
Although, I will admit, the whole Jiraiya/Sakura pairing threw me for a loop. I in no way saw that coming and was, honestly, a little unnerved by it. I'm also not sure if I should be rooting for Naruto to take the fox up on his offer or root for Tsunande to try her way first. The hint Kyuubi dropped about Naruto's potentially abnormally long life smacks of hidden merger (and as we have already seen, Gaara retains Tanuki traits), but then again, none of the previous chapters indicate that Naruto relies more on fox power than he does his own. (Which is a wonderful touch, btw. Naruto has a ton of strenght beyond what the fox has to offer, a fanfic writers usually forget that.)
I suppose I could probably just ramble on futher, but its the middle of the night and I need to get some sleep. I'm definately adding this fic to my recommended list and I'm eagerly awaiting your next chapter. Keep up the great work!
