oh how cute!! and it's a very good story, i hope shikamaru can get a little protective/possessive over neji at some time, that's just so sweet to read!

It was a mistake? O_____o I thought you did it on purpose XDDD It's ok though. It didn't ruin the story in any way. And yeah, my big bro's an architect. He's in to Naruto but definitely NOT in to yaoi XDDDDD so even if I have the guts to ask him he wouldn't want to have anything to do with my fics. Great job so far. I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter (not that I'm rushing you or anything ^_^)

Another great chapter. I like how Neji and Shika are getting closer. Oh, and to answer your question, in the arc when they are chasing after Sasuke and the Sound Four, Shika mentions that his Jutsu is worthless at night- his excuse for waiting until morning to ambush the Sound ninjas right before Neji's fight. :) But I like yours better- after all, there are all kinds of shadows at night.

Ah, Shikamaru's right. All the women in his life are so troublesome. XD And Neji's so defensive! I like that too. Go, deprived, defensive Neji-man, go! SLEEP IN! :D

Niiice progress ^_^ I like this chapter very, very much! I love your Shikamaru! And yeah, he's tone deaf. He said so ^o^ It was when he fought Tayuya, memorizing the movements of her fingers instead of the flute's melody to read her attacks. It was also interesting that you switch which of them are jounin and chuunin. Hiashi's portrayal was also great. Ah, such a cool fic. And the floor plan of Shikamaru's apartment! Awesome! God, when I was starting Golden Murder, all I could think about was how I can make such a thing for the Hyuuga Mansion (too embarrassed to ask my brother to make it for me XD). I've also been dreaming about showing the insides of that apartment building in Unspoken Rules. I wish I have your skills XD. But I'm rambling! So anyway, great work and I'll be waiting for the next one ^_^

Tiny typo in the beginning- it ought to be 11:something AM, unless Neji sat around for a lot longer than five hours.

I don't really have anything too constructive to say: "I like it!" gets boring and kind of useless... ^^;; I mean, I hate to hear that in art critiques. But I also like to hear it about writing, so!
I like it. I like Shikamaru making Neji sleep in, I like Neji being fussy, I like Hiashi wincing about some of the o-miai candidates, and I giggled when he made Neji that deal. I like it. Good job. :3

Hee... I like how you write Shikamaru. People just keep coming in, and coming in, and no one understands his jokes, but THAT'S OKAY, he just got rid of two of them.
