I really really enjoyed this story. Seriously. You did a good job. The "Japon" thing is a bit silly, it is a work of fiction so I don't see why you couldn't have a fictional city within Japan. If anything, why not just keep Konoha in Fire Country like it is in the manga? Thats a seperate kingdom/country that would have its own myth and history. Maybe its just me. I can't help but read "Japon" and have the back of my brain screaming "TYPO!!"
Aside from that slight irk, like I said before, the story was great. I loved the AU set up with a modern day conventional setting with a hint of mystery. What kind of backstory does Naruto have that he is unaware of? I'm excited to find out, which is what makes me praise this so highly.

The opening chapter doesn't leave the reader with much to go on, but your summary has be intrigued! Can't wait for the next chapter.
