Let me just say that is very refreshing to see someone writing a story somewhat in sync with canon. AU's (not that I don't love a good AU) have been running rampant around here and I do miss our ninja boys actually being ninjas. I really appreciate how much information you've crammed into this first chapter--we know how this story fits (and possibly doesn't fit) with canon, we know how old the boys are, we know some of what they're capable of, and there's definitely whole bunches of tension to titillate and intrigue readers into another chapter. And the new vocabulary of insouciance is a nice shiny word that I just have to pluck and stick in my back pocket.

Intelligent, succinct and sharp writing mixed with yaoi, Naruto, and ninjas. What's not to love?

I hope to see an update to this fic. You've got a good thing started, I think. I'm anxious to see what kind of plot you have in store and if it measures up to your tastefully teasing prologue. Luck with writing.

o_o I liked it. You portayed the characters pretty well, and though I totally wouldn't mind wasting my time reading longer chapters, I'm pleased with this and will look forward to more, if you plan on continuing it? -looks kind of hopeful??-
