Fairly good start. The first chapter was pretty long, but didn't seem to contain much action. It was kind of like a background prelude, but it could have been shortened. Very wordy and detailed.
I hope I'm not being too harsh in my critiquing and that you don't take it the wrong way. I just thought you would like to know how it sounds when being read by someone else. The story seems to have potential, it's just hard to say at this stage because not much is going on. I will definitely be checking back, though, to see what you have planned for this fic.
