I see it is complete! :D I guess I thought it would be longer and so i didn't read the third part thinking it would be updated pretty quickly. Thank you for telling me it was complete. Achingly sad story. I enjoyed it. :D

This story really woke various and strong emotions. You did a great work bringing Iruka and Itachi together, it didn't feel forced (heh, well it did in that sense ^_^); the story progressed smoothly and naturally. But I think you should put serious spoiler warnings for people who only watch the anime. Sometimes the change in the POV was a bit confusing, and it took a few seconds to understand who was doing what. Nothing too distracting though.
Everything in the story felt realistic. You've got the passionate, burning, consuming love born from lust. Then you have the patient, lasting love developing slowly from friendship. They're both great in different ways and you've captured them expertly. There's so much feeling. Both happiness and hurt. The way you wrote happy Iruka missing his love, wearing his shirt, and the way you described the pain of loosing Itachi, how Iruka was clinging to the cloak and necklace nearly compulsively, were so easy to relate to. I was crying by the end of the second chapter and nearly through out the epilogue. My heart's still slightly aching.
The cave scene was HOT! Other smut scenes were delicious, too, but goddamn, the cave scene... just whoa! Loved the way you wrote Itachi's inner struggle and how you wrote Kakashi. The patience Kakashi showed, how he let Iruka hurt him... and finally how Iruka realized what he was doing to the jounin. I can't put in words how much I loved this story, how strongly it affected me. Thank you. I think I need something lighter to read next.

I'm speechless. Everything I wrote in my second review of Search for strength holds for this fic as well. The secret love between Iruka and Itachi was absolutely awesome, and addictive to read. And the smut, oh yeah! Nosebleeds big time! I will write you a proper review tomorrow, now I need to get some sleep (work tomorrow). I'm quite slow reader so I've only read the first chapter of SFS and this story, but I'm getting there...
PS. I've got a cold in summer, and they're the worst. Fever for a week and not able to do any physical excerice for over two weeks. ^.^;

That was freakin awesome!!!! It was so sad that Iruka and Itachi couldn't be together but at least he had kakashi in the end. Great story.

Well I mean... I am speechless. I sorta hope Itachi tells Kakashi to watch out for Iruka or something but...wow. Good job on this section, it was long but strangely potent.

Your story is very well written.
I rarely write reveiws but your story compelled me to.
You are one of the few writers who are able to make a love story with Itachi make sense.
Even though it was short, the emotions did not seem rushed nor did they seem fake.
Bravo.
