Wow. I just stumbled upon this story. Its one of the most well written pieces I've read in ages. You really didn't use the typical cliches and the whole thing leading up to finding out that Iruka was doing his job was so well done. You kind of knew something of that nature was coming, but you were left guessing as to what it was exactly, which I liked. You didn't give it away at once and just fed us the info in spoonfuls through Ibiki's thoughts on what was going on.

Anyway, well written. I would actually like to see a second part to this, but that's up to you.

More with other Ninja Iruka services. Iruka is nice.

so sad TT, but I love it. Pls, continue really nice fic and I wish to read more. Beside, the plot is interesting. For once, there is a more 'human' side of Ibiki that is portrait (no sarcasm, no calculative mind, no manipulation). Just him and his insecurity and torture mind. Ibiki and pink = ?

How can a work be so sexy and yet so somber at the same time? Oh yeah, that's right - this is what happens when an author is really, really good at crafting a scene! Mesmerizing.

Great just fabulous. I love any story that shows the darker side of ninja life. Ibiki and Iruka is a new pairing that I am really starting to enjoy. I really hope to see this continued.

This is...very intriguing. It's an interesting take on the concept of the ANBU "prize" or Hestia's catbowl therapy. I'm curious as to where you'll go with this if you choose to continue.

If Iruka was given this assignment at the age of 10, before he had even graduated from the Academy, how did it affect his rise in rank? Was he doing this before his parents died, with their knowledge? Is he limited to chuunin because of the assignment? How much of an alternate universe is this?
