I just want to say I love this fic. I really do. And, unfortunately, I'm equally torn as to who should come out the victor in this! In fact, I'm the last person you should ask; I haven't updated in three months because I can't decide whether I want Sasuke around or not in my own fic, though in mine, he'd be *included* with both Naruto and Sai, rather than Naruto picking just one.

I think . . . I think I'm leading more towards Sai, though, because Sasuke's been unbearably selfish throughout, while Sai's only ever been thinking about Naruto. Sasuke's an ass; if he couldn't set aside his need for revenge over Naruto's need for him, then obviously . . . well, but then . . . on the other hand, he though Itachi was the bad guy, so he was probably terrified of his brother swooping in and stealing Sasuke's last precious person from him . . . dammit! *bangs head on desk* There's so many ways to go with this . . .

This is beautifully written. I love the way you put in both points of view, yet still managed to get the story going. I have to admit, the ending made me a little weepy in a good sort of way. I love it when someone's writing MOVES me, and yours certainly did. I honestly can't say whether I want you to continue or not. It's wonderful as a stand-alone, but part of me IS curious as to Sasuke's reaction.

In either case, keep writing! You're awesome.

This is so good! I can't wait for the next installment! I love how you did the separate points of view, not many people write outside of the second and third person tense anymore. Keep up the excellent work!!!

wonderful. i love how you portrayed Sai in this story; how different he was compared to Sasuke. I especially love how Naruto slowly came to appreciate and love Sai too. I had enough of SaiNaru fics in which it was always onesided love on Sai side, so your fic was great.
