This story's like film noir: it's dirty and gritty and dark, about people who are dirty and gritty and dark, and the story is ugly and the seting is bleak., and any bits of hope or pleasure and comfort that come through just serve to highlight and contrast and intensify the grit and blackness, not relieve it. This is, in no way, a beautiful story, but I love every word, even when I don't have the right mind to read it.

And the plot thickens...Naruto seems so regal, but I guess you have to be when dealing with village politics. I am dying to see how Kakashi really feels about making his relationship with Naruto "public". Thank you for the update. Looking foward to the next!
