Yeah, I know I'm missing something. I love this story but feel the need to point out a plot hole... what the hell is up with Shukaku?! I mean he just up and returns (I'm guessing Mandara did something to release the biju to ruin Sasuke's powerbase?) and is suddenly in human form (like Kyuubi) and nobody questions it? I mean Naruto doesn't seem at all shocked by this and even somewhat recognizes Shukaku. I dunno. I can accept it, but its still strangely unexplained.
