I hope the fox chooses to save Sasuke. I mean if he can't, the only other option I could think of is a direct merger with his host, then taking Sasuke and spiriting him away to some mythological spirit realm that is so popular in Japanese storytelling. :/

What does that mean? You are totally scaring me, I am so uncertain of Sasuke and Naruto's future now. If Sasuke dies again, I don't think Naruto would survive it. Are they doomed now because Kyuubi cheated fate? Delving back into Kyuubi's past and his past choices was very interesting. I like that Naruto is letting go of who Sasuke used to be, he really needs to do that to accept who Sasuke is now. I also like that Sasuke mentioned speaking to his past self. I wonder if past Sasuke will come into play at all, more than he already has. Does the fact that he is somewhere within the current Sasuke mean that he is still there? Does that make sense? I think it would sort of interesting if Sasuke were to get his old memories back but still be himself. Like Naruto, Naruto is a different Naruto but he knows who he used to be. I am unsure as to whether this is true for Jiraiya and Tsunade. I wish it were true for everyone else. I think Naruto could also use the friendship of his classmates and former comrades if he suffers such a loss again.

ok i'm confused a bit. with the kyuubi scene did the present sasuke die? or are you showing us what happened the first time around from kyuu's perspective?

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!!! Can't they just be happy! Hell, as they say Fate's a bitch! Why does Sasuke have to die, AGAIN! Naruto is strong, but hell he just found him, this will definitely break his heart and mind. What is the point of Sasuke dying??? I don't want him to die :o(
