Your slow pace is actually a good decision. Considering what's going to happen to Anko she really does need some connection to him to suffer through it. It won't be healthy, but it will be understandable especially if you do a slow build up.

Yes I think you're keeping the characters well within what we know of them at this time.

Hey, I really like where this is heading. I hope you keep it up and keep writing. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the sennin interation (like how you had Orochimaru bump into Jiraiya) that kindda thing...as for pairs, hmmm...dunno. I was going to ask wheres Kabuto, but forgot that he comes after Orochi leaves leaf. How far will you take this fic? Like time-line wise? Ano, I guess that's it. I'm just here to cheer you one, hope you keep writing (please) :D
