Great story. I was looking for something a few weeks ago that wasn't just a mindless sex-filled story and I happened upon "A Thousand Words". I love how you described Sasuke's photos and Naruto's portrait. I love how caring Itachi is as a brother. This is definitely one of my favorite stories now. Please keep up the good work.

I think Itachi got a little too ooc in this chapter. I think the Deidara bit was stretching it just a biiiit too far.
Sasuke blinked. Once. Twice. Three times. And found himself speechless.
Exactly how I feel other than that.

The Uchiha brothers have 'the talk.' I think it went well.

*giggle* I never get tired of reading different takes on the first SasuNaru kiss. This is a good one. Very realistic.
Your line about teens ("teens could be moody, he supposed it was part of the job description") had me laughing out loud. It's so true...
The editor in me needs to point out that there's a typo in the section about the race, as Sasuke is going up the second hill: it reads tired instead of tire, or perhaps tires?
I hope you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism; there was one thing that I reread a few times and felt awkward about: Itachi says to Sasuke, "I suppose I should trust you to play with matches if you decide to use the fireplace?" I think it might be better if it read, "I suppose I should trust you to use the fireplace if you decide to play with matches?" or maybe "I suppose I should trust you with the matches if you decide to use the fireplace?" if you didn't really want it to be funny, but more of a rhetorical question.

I'm really enjoying this story. You have quite a talent for describing artwork and colors! I hope there's more to come.

I don't know why, but this chapter was disappointing. I mean, it was good, but something about this chapter just made me feel disappointed. I think it's because you stretched out the bike ride too long and the coming home thing. If you'd broken this into two chapters, you could have gone into more passionate detail about Sasuke and Naruto making out. Plus, you could have played up the Itachi and Kakashi flirting bit. I mean, not have them really make out or anything, but play it up more, make it seem like they were about to passionately make out, touch each other or something.
All in all, this chapter was good, but disappointing and leaving a lot to be desired. Sorry if I don't make sense. Hope I do, but it's okay if I don't.

All right! Hot kiss!
I love it that Naruto and Sasuke have Kakashi and Itachi for guardians. They will certainly keep things interesting!

I read this story on ff.net and could not remember my stupid password. Anyway, I truly love the plot that you have developed here. I always enjoy those stories that take the time to actually develop a plot and not just jump head first into what they think the audience may want. I also appreciate your characterization of Naruto and Sasuke in this fic. They seem to both have thier "issues" and you are not spending more time devoloping one over the other. You have given them their equal share of plot time.
I am looking forward to more!

Mmm, where can I find more of your work?
I stumbled across you yesterday, and after reading one of your fics I immediately checked to see if you had any other fics posted, and when i found the other fic, I red it as well. I. Love. You. I can't remember which fic I read first, and I'm not gonna try, because they are both outstanding and I need to leave each with a separate review to do them any justice. Now to focus on this fic and tell what I liked about it!
What stands out most to me is Naruto's and Sasuke's friendship and their hobbies. I love how Naruto is an artist focusing on paint and how Sasuke is a photographer. Just imagining the pieces they've created and collaborated on makes me wanna grab my camera and run out to photograph the next sunset or head off to an art museum and spend hours looking at different styles of paintings. I'm an art major myself (emphasis in graphic design) so I love nearly everything art related.
I think its kinda fun how both Naruto and Sasuke discovered they were gay in two completely different ways and dealt with that discovery in equally different ways. Buuuut since they are practically polar opposites that makes sense. Either way I absolutely adore it ( lol and Sasuke's love for tomatoes, of all things) and I am so looking forward to Sasuke's birthday surprise and the development of their relationship since we all know those two are gonna end up together, It's just how they get to that point that we're not certain of. ... Well, "we're" as in the readers, you've probably got a pretty good idea about how things will go for our favorite boys xD
Oh, I love Aniki Itachi. It's always so fun reading Itachi as the stable big brother figure. Makes ya wanna hug him, and then pray he doesn't find any embarrassing snap shots of yourself to post all over the web or hold for blackmail... That would suck...
Keep doing what you're doing! It's beyond awesome! =D
