I'm so glad you updated this and you are really making me think. Naruto is about thirteen now, right? He is definitely growing in age as well as knowledge. He is opening up himself to Sasuke for maybe the first time we have really seen. In all the lives we have seen previously, Naruto has been more of a bystander than a participant. It was nice to see the shoe on the other foot, to see Naruto doing the pursuing. You know ironically enough I just watched an episode of Supernatural called Mystery Spot, in which Sam had to watch his brother Dean die over and over and there was nothing he could do about it. There was a humorous slant to the deaths most of the time but the point of it was that there is nothing you can do to save someone when its their time to go, when it's meant to be. I kind of feel that this is the lesson that Sasuke must learn when it comes to Naruto. The mysterious pair implied that Sasuke and Naruto were soulmates, unique ones, that there were other out there like them, that Naruto was special and a part of something bigger. This reincarnation seems to be the "one." I can't wait to see how it plays out.
