I am loving your story! One little note though... You used the word descent several times during the pack meeting. The way you were using the word suggests that rifts were being caused amongst the pack members. If that was what you were trying to say then the correct spelling of the word would be dissent. Descent is the past tense of descend or what you would call a downward path (as in "Jason looked down the descent of the mountain with caution."). Dissent is the breakdown of unity in a group (as in "One dissenting voice spoke against the angry mob.")

Sorry for the english lesson. If you were attempting to suggest that the pack was going downward (in intelligence, compassion...etc.) then disregard my above babbling and chalk it up to me being slow and just not getting what you were going for. Once again... loving it and hope you update soon!
