Thanks for the recommendation. I confess I do not read many fics or review that often - all my available time is spent writing. What I like about this story is how genuine it feels. The way Naruto thinks and the dialogue between him and Kiba makes them sound their age and sound male - I am never sure if my male characters sound genuinely male. The things they worry about are so wonderfully young and the fact that they are interested in sex but know almost nothing about it is so sweet. I like the fact that Naruto is incredibly lonely but that is revealed slowly in little thoughts and details and it is only in chapter 6 that Kiba points out that Naruto does not have any real friends and offers to be his friend rather than his boyfriend. I found some of the scenes particularly touching - for example the one with Ayame and him seeing Kiba's bedroom - it really brought home that Naruto was growing up without a family.

Is it wrong that I want to squee at the cuteness. There arkwardness is so fricking refreshing. I love odd pairings like this and when I can run across a pairing that could probably actually happen I want to fricking jump for joy.

It really isn't that easy confessing your feelings to someone, especially when you don't know what you truly are confessing too. I like how Naruto was angry but wasn't quite sure what he was angry at. That he loved even the simple act of holding hands and going to the movie. Plus I also like that Kiba wanted to make sure they were friends or possibly boyfriends. That he gave blondie the option and had came to see if everything was cool with him.
