You've done an excellent job letting the reader see reason to feel compassion for itachi. itachi uchia was something broken and recreated by fugaku- into an abomination. Being just itachi is probably the best gift he could ever receive- the others do not have the same emotional attachment to itachi as kisame and sasuke- it will be interesting to see how you deal with that. itachi just saved 6 of naruto's children/kits and returned the stolen people and genetic materials along with all of orochimaru's and kabuto's information/secrets/data/etc- also delivered 30 loyal mink fighters to add to sasuke's power and ability to protect them all. killed orochimaru- but i'm guessing kabuto stole the body to clone him or bring him back somehow? sasuke's dialog about itachi dying with itachi uchia was smartly written. this was a really good chapter. thanks for sharing.

( “They will be less likely to ask for Itachi’s death if Kisame has to kill him,” he whispered so softly that only dog or fox ears could possible hear. “They know Kisame loves him.”)
To use kisame as the only reason that the others did not allow itachi to die seems one of the weakest of all the choices you had to choose- i expected many reasons given to preserve his life actually. the uchias pain and right to retribution is much longer lived than they have known kisame- to deny their clans right to vengance just to save the sanity of a companion/warrior- even if they loved kisame- does not seem reasonable. and kisame and itachi are only 2 lives against the dozens itachi or they both have taken. and kisame continued to protect and serve itachi after he murdered his clan and as he spent years after continuing killing- that may even have been reason to kill both of them- kisame aided and abetted and provided comfort. the therapist thing was not very reassuring either. why not lock him up. why not demand some kind of obedience/punishment collar with a kill switch incase he turned on anyone. maybe you plan on saving the drama for haku and asuma and that's why you made it seem so easy this time.
i look forward to see how it works out.

Wow. That is one impressively long story, it took me unbelievably long time to read it, but it was worth it. Despite the changes to the characters, I loved it.

okay so I was first introduced this by a friend of mine and was hesitant to try it out. I am glad I stuck with it after the 8th chapter I was addicted and have stayed up late every night for the last 3 nights to finish it all. I am pleased to say that I enjoied it alot and it was a great work of litterature. I am also pleased that I was refferred it when you finished this story. If i had not then I would have been stir crazy trying to wait for the rest this is a great work of art to me. the characters and the story flowed impeccibly and if I wasn't so addicted to reading this I would have done more than one review. the story and world is somethign that I find to be interesting in it's form but also believeable in its working. the thoughts of a "cat" and a crew are to me very good topics. I first thought of this as a pirate story. the silver leaf a pirate vessal but it has turned into so much more. the twists and turns kept me rivoted to this story and the characters albeit changed from what I know of them as were Great and very well thought out. I think you kept their cores and through that I have a high respect for your work as an Author. I tip my pen to you fine sir/madam.

Your stories are so refreshingly put together.
Its like the truth but more so.
I have only ever found author I find as compelling, Sparrowbirdie.
I enjoyed and closely followed your originals and held off reading this,
partly in hopes that you would continue with it.
Another in that so many SasuNaru's come off as too heavily angsty or humorous or even like there is no real plot. I really enjoy all of your work so far though.

Amazing story, as always. I admit, yours is one of the few that's ever made me want to write fanfiction about a fanfic!
I like the idea of stopping it here, then going with stepping stones to the next chapter.
Thank you for your lovely work.

Hi! I really liked this series, I hope u do continue it (i read all 91 cap over the course of the last week). @ the end of chap. 91 u asked about continuing here or under a new title? I personlly vote for continuing here cause then i wont have to try to figure where u've continued it("troublesome"). U expressed concern people would be intimidated by the lenght? In my opinion, if u're going to read it if it has passed 10-20 chaps u've already basically committed to the long haul. Hope this helps and hope u keep writing 4 all of us!

I love reading long stories so I wouldn't mind if you added part 2 at the end of part 1.

In response to your a/n, I agree that an epic fic does scare off new readers, but seeing as it is already over 50 chapters... Over 90 chapters! You might as well continue... But for other readers who wish to see this as an ending... I say let this arc end and begin anew! Onward to the next horizon! Lol.
