YES we have ourselves a ShikaNeji!!! I never really would have put this paring together and then I read a fiction in which Shika goes through a ton of trouble just to get Neji to notice him, by getting his friends to hire him and Neji for a "non mission mission" just so they can work together and Shika can slowly seduce Neji, I don't remember the name of the fic right off the top of my head, but anyway that fiction sold me on this pairing....I'm so glad you are going to work with them as a couple...even if poor Shika is having to wait for Neji to come around.

I still dont' understand why the captain can't have relations with anyone ...what will happen with Naru when Sasuke takes command? Does being his beloved not give him some kind of exception to the rule? I mean couldn't Naru as his beloved stay with him at all times even in the cabin? Or am I assuming that Naru is his beloved with out that ceremony having taken place yet? I thought the fact that Sasuke gave him the plaque made him his beloved...I think I'm a bit confused...

I'm so glad you decided to continue this. The plot is intriguing. I have to confess that I am terribly drawn to the Shikamaru/Neji pairing. It's rarely written. I hope you continue with this. I'm hoping to be a professional author myself someday, and have found that honing my skills through fanfics has been an invaluable experience. I still have work to do until I'm completely satisfied with my own skills, as I'm sure all authors feel; but we work through it, y'know? So, keep on working and I'm sure you'll reach your goal. ^_^

Great battle scene!!! Felt like I was watching Star Wars or something.=)

I have to say, I would follow this story even if you only updated rarely. It is that good. As far as being out of character, I don't have a problem with it since once a story diverges from the manga the characters would change. The only time OOC becomes a problem is when the chracterization doesn't fit the world created by the author.Your characters are believable with the background and setting you have given them.

The last chapter does confuse me. I don't quite understand the reason behind the ambush or why ships seem to randomly declare their loyalty. Its not explained very well. I am glad that we get to see Sasuke take some decisive action. Up to this point Sasuke has been a follower and it is hard to imagine him restoring this uchiha empire unless he grows a pair and stands up for himself some.

The last part was priceless though. The horror of not having sex for 42 days! It's funny considering where Sasuke started in this. Tsunade does have a mean side to her character. That part made the chapter. Thanks for writing and sharing this.

I will definitely continue reading! Even if the characters veer into OOC sometimes- you completely make up for it with a well developed, properly paced, well written, and engaging story. Please continue!
