Awesome work!!!

Gah, even I haven't forgiven Itachi and it's not me. I feel like a little more begging for forgiveness is needed, because (I'm not sure if you want this) I really don't like Itachi (or Naruto's friends that all appear to be supporting the relationship). Anywho, I really like the story just not the whole, Itachi doesn't have a good reason to not tell Naruto that he was leaving.

I am curious to know where Naruto's support system is in all of this. His "friends" all seem to be more concerned with Itachi's goal of wooing him back than with the pain Naruto has suffered by Itachi's hand. It would be nice if Naruto had someone looking out just for him... like maybe his folks. Trust is a funny thing. It can be easily or almost freely given in the beginning of any kind of relationship, but there is a dark side where it can cause a most debilitating pain when the one you trust most betrays that trust. If Itachi does manage to woo Naruto back, I hope he will be able to patiently deal with the types of issues they will have in their relationship that were not there years ago. There IS no such thing as starting over. There will always be this history with them.

I liked how you inserted Itachi's POW here. It helps & I can see how genius can make mistakes. I for one can see Naruto forgiving him eventually but I hope that it will take a while & some hard core grovelling from Itachi! :D
