wow, so much covered in that chapter. I'm glad Ranmaru got a mention. He seemed forgotten for a while there.

well bugger. That totally sucks.. I hope they have his genes so they can make a child or something. He desierves something of him carrying on... and a nice messy death for those responsible. Die you prick bastards DIE!

wonderful writing of the emotions surrounding Ranmaru's death and great intro to new plot twist (Shika And Uchiha enemy) and their return to space.

What a perfect christmas present to have :) although this chapter made me a little teary, I feel very bad for Kono but also hopeful that they will get thru the loss of one of them. Poor Yuki, he seems to be the most sensitive of all the children. I really don't like Uchiha's enemies at all.

Wow. I have to say, I almost cried and I can't remember doing that since Beth died in "Little Women". I thought I was familiar with the rhythm of your storytelling but evidently not. I'd guessed you'd write a few more warm fuzzy chapters (including Mai's decanting) before slowly building up another dramatic arc. I've also wondered whether you'd kill off an important, sympathetic character - you've never done it before. It feels right, though. I suspect now we will see the full wrath of which Uchiha is capable. I've been wondering about Moegi lately ...

I don't know what to write...I can't believe that Ranmaru is dead...I had to read the chapter twice, there I was so happy for sasuke and Naruto, laughing over the children and their antics..and then shock, heartbreaking shock...he was such a lovely character..and i can't believe it. Poor Kono, this will be bad for him..and what about the children, they love him...and Haku, who he was shopping for, and the fighters..and OMG!!! This is just horrible. The writing is wonderful as always but waiting for the next chapter is going to be very stressful.
