Naruto definitely did the right thing in wanting to temporarily put the brakes on his relationship with Sasuke until he could get closure on things with Kiba. You can't move forward until you put the past to rest, and now everything between Naruto & Sasuke will be about them only, and not Sasuke, Naruto, and Naruto's heartbreak over Kiba. I was frustrated with Sasuke for getting so angry over Naruto's decision, but then again, Naruto called him a "distraction," which is terribly, terribly unflattering. Sasuke thought he was building a relationship with Naruto, and Naruto's wording made it seem like he was only a convenient source of comfort. If only Naruto had told Sasuke that after cutting ties with Kiba, he'd like to resume their relationship, instead of telling him he didn't know how he'd feel about him afterward, maybe then Sasuke would have understood. It's sad, and a little frustrating, that after everything that's happened between them, Naruto would second guess their relationship enough that he was worried his feelings for Sasuke would go away. But then again, I guess Naruto's real worry was that things could go wrong in general, and that would put their friendship at risk, which is an understandable worry, and which Sasuke thankfully didn't get upset about.

I'm glad Sasuke is trying to be noble about the wooing thing and that Naruto suggested they go on a proper date since Naruto's idea of relationships is pretty messed up at this point (thanks to his sex-only relationship with Kiba ...and years of chasing after Sasuke). Trying to be a little normal about things for once should be good for Naruto. Speaking of Kiba, he deserved a second punch (at the very least) for telling Naruto he'd make it up to him with ramen. Seriously?! Well I'm glad Naruto stood up for himself; that's the Naruto we all know and love, not the beaten down husk Kiba reduced him to.

I just wanted to say that I am loving this story so far and am sorry that I have not reviewed in a while. I do not know if you have a beta, but I wanted to point out a few errors. Feel free to ignore me or say horrible crap about me if I am overstepping my bounds and if I am...sorry.

Withering means dry out and shrivel up. Flowers wither and die. The word you were looking for is writhe (or in chapter 15's case writhing). I see this in a lot of fanfics and can only think that people see the word in other stories, figure out what it means from the way it is used and use it themselves. Unfortunately the original use was incorrect.

Gapping is a grammer rule that refers to deleted verbs in conjoined sentences. It is also a trade term used in stocks and bonds. The word you were looking for is gaping- or staring in a comical manner. This is also one that I see in a lot of fanfics.

Accent is referring to regional inflections in speech. Such as having a british accent. The word you were looking for was ascent. It means to travel in an upwards fashion and is derived from the word ascend.

I felt horrible about how messed up Naruto was and how he nearly destroyed everything with Sasuke. I loved that for once Kakashi managed to helpful and sincere. And I think you got it spot on. I also think that one of your other reviewers lacks sympathy and understanding for what caused Naruto to behave in such a way. Naruto just recently ended a very abusive relationship and on top of that it was his first real romantic relationship after a lifetime of emotional neglect. It is understandable that he would have an extremly difficult time handling the current situation and would probably mess it up horribly. I am glad that once he finally was able to sort out what he wanted and how he felt he went after it with all of the trademark Naruto gusto.

Anyway... that is my two cents

Lovely chapter! YAY!! Kiba finaly got hit! I cant wait for Sasuke to get his turn. ;-) And IMO Naruto is kind of a hussy. Its his thing! Heeheehee

Wishing that it would be updated again... I like this story a LOT.

I truly enjoy reading this...I glad Naruto is seeing the love that Sasuke has for him. Also I'm happy about that confrontation between Shino and Kiba...Kiba was a dick! I'm glad he now see's this, but I still don't like the jerk.

I don't mind that you didn't write the confrontation between Shino and Kiba sooner since there was a lot of other stuff going on in the meanwhile, and besides, I think it would have irritated me to see Shino basically forgive Kiba while Naruto was still upset over Kiba/grieving over Sasuke. As it stands now, I still don't think Kiba deserved forgiveness from Shino--he had an affair! Not to mention, he emotionally manipulated Naruto and physically abused him during sex. Shino should be worried about continuing in a relationship with him--but since Naruto has moved on, or is in the process of moving on, then I don't care as much. But I do think Naruto needs to sort some things out with Kiba and say goodbye on his own terms before he can really get anywhere with Sasuke. I'm really happy for Naruto and Sasuke in this chapter, especially since it was Naruto who initiated it, not Sasuke (it makes Naruto's feeling for him even surer), but like I said before, there's always the possibility that Naruto is rebounding just a bit with Sasuke, and always will be until he can rid himself of his Kiba baggage. Does he still feel like Kiba left a hole inside him, even after how far he's come with Sasuke?
