Awesome chapter. I feel Shika's pain. I want to cry for him. I can't wait to see more.

I wasn't surprised that things between Shikamaru and Asuma ended because you'd written the relationship in a way that made me think it was less serious on Asuma's part, but the guy should really be ashamed of himself for letting Shikamaru think it was something more than it actually was and for not explaining properly about Kurenai. The whole situation probably would've stung less if he had. For Shikamaru's new dom, I vote Temari (because I like it in canon) or Itachi (because Deidara has left Itachi hanging for too long, and because Asuma doesn't like Uchihas, so it would serve him right).

I was confused about the conversation that Naruto and Sasuke had about Kyuubi. What was it that Sasuke promises not to tell about Kyuubi? Why did Sasuke have to make Kyuubi submit? Does this mean Naruto handed control of his body over to Kyuubi for a while, or did something else happen?

I like the fact that Naruto and Sasuke are compatible people and aren't having a great deal of trouble recognizing it--privately, at least. It's still too new and tentative for them to say anything to each other. It's a nice change of pace from the usual thing of one of them denying his feelings and running away from them. I'm guessing the problems you have in store for them will come at least as much from other people as they do from themselves?

I feel bad for poor Shikamaru... but I look forward to Naruto's reaction to the news. I also liked Shikaku's protectiveness with his son. Why can't Asuma have 2 mates? Is it because one of them is a Dominant like him or is it just that he doesn't want Kurenai to know? Actually, if their love is so deep that they created a baby, why did Asuma cheat on her with Shikamaru? Asuma seems to have some redeeming of himself to do for several people in my opinion. And I wouldn't mind seeing Shikaku telling him a piece of his mind. ;)
As for Sasuke and Naruto, I hope they won't keep their real feelings for each other hidden too long. Sasuke is already quite possessive of Naruto, but I was hoping he would have told him that he had chosen him a long time ago. Are Naruto's insecurities a consequence of his failed relationship with Sakura? Oh and thanks for clearing up the Kyuubi issue. I was still a bit confused about whether in your world Naruto was a jinchuuriki or not.
And thank you for the nice scene between Kakashi and Iruka. They are so sweet and sexy together. It's nice to have at least one couple with seemingly not too much drama surrounding them - kind of a safe haven if the others become too angsty. :) I was wondering, though, with all that love between them, how come Iruka was never pregnant? Do they not want another child or can't they have one?

Naruto and Sasuke are so crazy sexy cool together. its hard to believe that Naruto has had his brief panic attack when he has had such a cool demeaner this entire time in respect to the whole collar siutuation and sasuke. I know the he wanted sasuke but i guess he didnt know the dept and degree that he wnated sasuke untill he had him. Now that sasuke has the object of his desire there is no way that he is going to let him go. that arrangementr is going to be permanent if sasuke has anything to say about it. those two have a lot tpo talk about in the coming year. It is a must in a dom/sub relationship that they have the trust to tell each other how they really feel and get it out in they open. they both reallly want each other and they just need to go on ahead and say it. what the heck is oing om with shika? that was lowdown of Asuma. looking forward to Gaara's wedding.

AWWWWs!!!! I can't wait to see what Naruto tells Shikamaru. It's going to be cool. I love how you played out Naruto's and Sasuke's dynamic in this chapter; very cute and sexxy. :) Can't wait for the next chapter.

That scene in the 5th chapter was possibly the hottest one I've ever read with those two.
