I'd love to see what sasuke and shikamaru can come up with.

Great chapter, really. I love seeing Kyu and Sasuke interact as father and son, particularly when they have meaningful conversations that might deepen their bond. Plus, it's nice to see that Kyu, even though he's a genius and far more mature than other kids his age, is still a child who acts like it sometimes. Now I wonder how their alliance against Sai will work out... I think that Kyu showing that he's accepted Sasuke as his father and Sasuke proving that he's not going away would be nice first steps. Or having some family outings or activities together. And I still think Naruto and Sasuke need to have a serious and long conversation about what happened between them and what were their main motivations for doing what they did. Plus, more time alone together to rekindle the fire and show Naruto what he's missing out on...
I can see how Sai could be not very fond of Kyu, though, seeing how the feeling is obviously mutual (seems like an understatement actually)... Will Shika really help them with their plan? Maybe if Sasuke accepts to consider Kyu marrying a Nara... (his adamant refusal is quite funny, by the way)

Kyusuke's dialog in chapter 3 was wonderful, It hit the ol' heart a bit. I truly enjoy what I've read so far ^_^

HE IS BEGGING!!!!!!! Sasuke NEVER begs for ANYTHING!!!!!! I am all for making the little bugger suffer and all but I want naruto to give him a chance at this point. I really do. A chance with some conditions. Some conditions I say! They both have just stood there and admitted that they still love each other very much and that never stopped loving each other. Sasuke kinda went into why he made the stupid mistake that he did. (very Stupid. Naruto could request to the council that Sasuke be released into his custody for house arrest for his punnishment for leaving the village. Which is very stupid of them in the first place considering that he was saving his son and everyone knows that! Just some thoughts.
